Dropped by Nissan yesterday to get the brochures of the X-trail. The showroom was as usual empty with not even a single person on the reception counter. When the salesperson came, I asked for the brochures of the car, he said "Sir I have the X-trail brochures with me but I haven't received the order to distribute them from my GM but I can provide you the brochure for the magnite". On asking him what was the problem again and again. he finally said that we have priced the X-trail a bit higher and need to revise the prices, only then we will be allowed to give out the copies.
What is the point in revising the prices now when they could have done it at the launch itself
So yes, expect heavy discounts. Also the X-trail looked absolutely smashing.

This car seems promising.

Good quality, looks, engine, practicality and what not. No complaints there.

What is the only complaint is- the price !! Even if the car is good, why should I buy this at 60 lakhs? I can get a BMW or Audi if I stretch a bit more, why this? For some reason the Fortuner suddenly seems very cheap now .

If they can produce it locally and price it competitively, then this car has the capability to become a hit in our market.

Nissan managed to dispatch 6 units of the X-Trail in August. I also read that they delivered the first X-Trail to a customer.

I'm curious to know who that person is .
