Thanks! I have decided to stick with petrol. For my kind of running it makes most sense. And the difference can be invested for earning more as you rightly said

Hi, what I want to know is, is tpms located inside (internal) or outside (External) and if we change tyres and alloy both will it be still as good and working (any experience)? Did see Mahindra post tiretronic manual adjustment on youtube, does it do automatically too?

Also noticed that my car has Ceat Crossdrive AT tyres, are they good? My general experience with Ceat hasn't been very good. If not, any other recommendations?

Are you planning to keep the same tyres and alloy set?

Yes, I will retain stock alloys. I think they look quite good as it is. For tyres, I am looking for suggestions if any.

I think we are in the similar thought process. I had Thar 3 door RWD D MT for 16 months. The space constraint and MT were deal breakers, we parted ways as soon as Thar Roxx was launched.

I started with AX7L D AT as my preference, but soon I realised how good a deal MX3 P AT is, considering my low 8k-10k annual driving. I already have a Kia Seltos D AT as my daily driver, so P AT makes good sense and saves me good money (MX3 P AT vs AX7LD AT saves me 6.5 Lakhs in my state)

So, in your case, did you receive the call from the dealer prior to the estimated date from Mahindra or exactly as per the estimated date?

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Has anyone who has taken delivery of a lower variant and added an alloy to the spare wheel that comes fitted with the steel rim / cover managed to figure out the solution for the protruding rear camera housing? The beauty cover seen in top variants is available as a spare part and is a very neat arrangement, however, unless there is a solution to shorten the extra length of the rear camera housing, it will continue to extend beyond the steel rim / alloy. Keen to know if anyone has figured this out.

It is a spare part of the top models that is currently not available (as per a yt video that I watched)

I also have a Honda city CVT for the city drives, My Jimny is now sold to my brother. So that remains in the family for any 4x4 requirements. The Roxx replaces the Jimny for a few outstation trips may be 4 or 5 times a year. If Family complaints about the Ride quality in Roxx, I still can do it in the Honda city. The running will be very low considering the above and the Petrol AT makes sense.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Found this cool branding for acoustic shield on the windscreen while cleaning the car.
Never knew that it is there.
However that shield does work and the prime example of that being the horn which seems like it is very low on volume while sitting inside but totally opposite and fully loud when heard from outside the car.

Saw one video on youtube where they installed a "spacer" type of setup behind the spare wheel to adjust for the protruding camera unit.

Could you please share the link to the YouTube video so I can have a look?

I was in constant touch with the dealer, I got the old SA assigned who dealt with my XUV700 booking. The car was billed from Mahindra's side on 12th Nov.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

I just got a call from Mahindra. They asked me if I need Finance and whether I'll be interested in a car with accessories.

I told them do I have to buy a car with accessories? And can I get without any. They said they're asking if another buyers refuses the car they're asking for that scenario and they don't have my car with them yet.

Are there any accessories worth getting from Mahindra for ROXX? I know mud flap is one. Anything else I should be Pre ordering with my car?

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

When I visited koncept gurgaon 48 on saturday for enquiring about delivery date of my booked car (which is supposed to be delivered in Feb 2025), they proposed an offer for me to buy any 1 out of 5-6 roxx's (Mix of customer cancelled MX5, AX5s) which were immediately available BUT with mandatory extended warranty and accessories worth 50k.
