Yes surely.
@CARbun - did you book online or via the dealer? When your vehicle was allotted, did it reflect against your booking online? If you heard only from your dealer, did you try going back to your booking either before or after you got delivery to see if it reflects changes? Just trying to decipher how this online booking and the claimed status updates online from manufacturing to arrival at the dealership is / should work.

I booked it online on 3rd october as soon as it opened.

Payment went through at 11:04 AM

I only got an email day before the delivery that the car is alloted and will be delivered tomorrow.

My assigned SA called me a day prior informing the same otherwise no other communication.

In the M4U app and on the online portal even till today it is the same as it was the day of booking.

Nothing has changed, even after allotment or anything the page has remained the same since.

I could trace my text conversations with a friend from 2021 when the 5 door Thar was first spotted testing. I told him then that this is coming home whenever it's launched.

Mahindra doesn't give a damn about its customers to be honest.

The excitement to buy a new launch is probably worth the minor niggles that one may face over the next few months/ years.
A car has always been a depreciating asset. In a vehicle like the Thar or the Gurkha, it's always going to be heart over head.
Once you have the funds to get something you want(not need), it's hard to play the waiting game after that.

Congrats! It looks stunning in blue. In fact, this is my favourite color so far (I found the Battleship Grey not enough Nardo Grey for me ).

I don't know who decided to call it some shade of grey; it looks much more like a shade of blue instead, and is far from Nado Grey. I think a grey in 3D Thar would have suited Roxx more compared to this one. I had really high hopes that it would be close to Nado Grey after seeing it in edited YouTube videos, but I didn't get the same vibes when I saw it in person.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Speaking of colors, sources on the Web have crash stats by car color. For example: https://living.acg.aaa.com/auto/does-car-color-matter

Most say white is the safest color statistically, while black being the most unsafe. There is a claim that visibility is the key reason for this. But I think it should also have to do with the type of drivers/people who buy these colors. For example, commercial vehicles in India are predominantly white and typically have more experienced drivers.

Thanks. I wonder what gives these salesmen to say with confidence, "Sir, you don't need to call me to find out your delivery timeline, the Mahindra portal will give you everything from when the vehicle is manufactured till it reaches the dealer"? I booked mine at 11:01 AM on 3rd Oct, my booking ID is B-1000XXXX and yet no news on delivery timeline.

Don't torture me guys! I have booked this only in hopes this will eventually look a bit up market!

My first impression is also less impressive than what I would have wanted, but it isn't blue, it's just darker Grey.

Jokes apart, colors are an extremely personal choice. If you like it, then that is the only reasoning needed! Cheers !

Hey, did you get a chance to check the aluminum pedals on any test drive or demo car? I remember multiple reviews mentioning that the brake pedal is wider, which causes issues when switching between pedals. Also, almost every reviewer pointed out fitting issues, so it might be worth checking that as well.
Yes , the space in the pedal area is cramped( Manual).
The space between the pedals is less and as I am new to the car I have to let go of the muscle memory and try to place my feet literally in line with the pedals ,with my daily oversized slipper which I wear I can press both the pedals with one feet , it will take some getting used to.

I was there when the acessories were being applied and I asked the guy to add more 3M tape to the pedal so its held on for sure right now but lets see in the long run , I will have them removed if I sense they are getting loose.

note :- The aluminum pedals are an accessory the pedals are plain black rubber in the manual variants.
I guess they are metal in the top end one with auto.
The photo shared by the reviewers where they came off was a manual and those were an accessory.

Hey SLK, apologies if I was too direct in my observations. I didn’t mean to hurt you or anyone who might have chosen that color.

Color choice is very personal and What I was trying to say is that this was my first choice—I literally convinced everyone in the family by showing them YouTube videos multiple times and explaining why this color would look best on the Roxx.

When I saw the car for the first time, it was in close-to-real-world conditions—out in the sun with some dust, as it had just come from the stockyard. My first impression wasn’t a “wow.” I was trying to avoid black or any darker shade, hoping this color would impress me, but I didn’t feel the connection and decided to create one more booking for Nebula Blue. I’m hoping Mahindra will provide a way to change the color on my earlier booking. If not, I’m planning to cancel it and stick with the new one, which will mean more delay.

If you like the color, that’s all that matters!

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Is it just me or the spacing between the pedals too little in the ROXX? I've driven the Automatic Diesel, and my foot always hit the accelerator pedal when switching pedals. I wear a size 11 and my toes always hit the wiring in the footwell.

Checked Out The Thar Roxx in Jaipur Showroom

I recently visited the KS Motors, Jaipur to check out the Thar Roxx, I was surprised to see the crowd, the showroom felt like Mahindra giving the cars for free or like a Kirana store -
My observations -
The overall package seems value for money, but I did not like the side design and the sloping roof, it gives the vibes of Force Toofan and Mahindra Bolero 9 seater version from the side, and no utility space in the doors, anyways I am highway type guy , If I have the budget of 30 lakhs I would choose the XUV7OO D AT from the Mahindra family
