Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Today is the day M&M will reveal when we can expect our vehicle. I hope to get it this year; if not, I'll consider booking the 3-door, it also has a two-month waiting period

Yes, fingers crossed as Mahindra keeps changing its goal posts. First it was that we would know the delivery dates in batches before the 25th, meaning the ones who booked within the first few minutes should have got the dates earlier, then they said between 25 to 30.
Also, hope they don't push out the deliveries. Their communications in the recent past has provided anything but confidence.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

I checked with my SA, and he said M&M will be communicating details directly to the registered mobile numbers / emails from 26th onwards.

They are equally clueless at this point in time.

I guess all variants have illuminated controls, if not all, the AX7 definitely does.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

The only 2 colors of Thar Roxx that I have not seen in-person are Battleship Grey and Deep Forest.
Red Rage color on XUV700, Scorpio-N and Thar 3 door is the red shade I like.

Mahindra launched Thar Roxx is a different shade of red. Actual red shade is difficult to capture on a phone camera. When the reviews came out, Tango red looked different on Android as compared to iPhone.
I still saved Tango Red under my preferences after Independence Day. I fortunately got opportunity to see Tango red color in-person as a display car and the red shade had tint of Maroon which I did not like.

So, when the booking day arrived on 3rd October, I booked Thar Roxx in Everest White as white looked good in-person and in my opinion has better modification capability.
My payment also completed within 11:05 AM IST and awaiting on delivery date expectations as my booking starts with B-1013xxxx.

I had a failed payment on 3rd October and finally got the refund back to my account yesterday. It took 20 days for failed payment to credit back which as per me is too long with all automated payment systems, payment gateways and payment reconciliations in place in today's world.

25th Oct has now shifted to 26th Oct? Most of us will be ok to accept the delay if a transparent justification is provided explaining the reason for the delay. It is when there is no transparency or justification does the delay get viewed as an unprofessional conduct on the part of Mahindra.

They put that in writing "We will let you know your waiting period latest by 25th Oct’24". That actually means earlier than 25th not later.

Then on twitter they started writing 25th to 30th, and now someone says 26th (dealers are as clueless too and its not clear why M&M wants their dealers to look helpless and uninformed).

If they don't do it today, it would permanently dent my trust in professionalism of M&M and the capability of their team in sorting some rows of data!

Imagine the day of an SA these days—answering the same questions in almost every customer interaction, all because Mahindra is trying to solve the most complex and unsolved mystery of how to plan and manage deliveries for a high-demand car. I wouldn’t be surprised if the delay is because they are waiting for a patent to come through for the unique algorithm they’ve developed.

Come on, Mahindra! We’re all thankful for the great engines you’ve made and for putting them in aspirational cars like the XUV700, Scorpio N, Thar, etc. but why can’t you people add transparency to the entire booking and delivery process?

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

I took leave on booking day, I had already done kyc 1 month back and selected model and colour so sat in front of my PC waiting and at exactly 11 am when booking opened i did payement within 15 seconds. Booking number was 9xxxx something. I did another booking offline at dealership that was 10xxxx something. Going to cancel the dealership booking now. The owner of dealership asked me yesterday how i managed to get allotment so early and i told him the story.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Today is the 25th Oct, half a day is already gone and yet we don't have any update (at least I don't have any update). This is frustrating.

First, let me congratulate you on bringing the ROXX into your garage! However, I'm curious about your thought process in choosing the white interior, knowing that a brown option will be available starting in January.
