Reg getting camera installed from outside, there is no warranty implication as it's just using the 12v port. You can order off amazon, and fix it yourself too. :D

Ok. Does the cables dangle around when 12v is used to power Dashcam? Or are they tucked inside? Can you share some pics? I already have Qubo 4K in my Punto with hardwiring and looking to port them to Kylaq once it gets delivered.
I was also curious how dual tone horn would sound, can you share audio sample please?
And for sun films did you go with reputed brands like 3M or reliable local ones? How much did it cost?

Has anyone taken the Horn accessory? The dealer says that Kylaq is compatible only with the single horn and not the dual horn. They do not have a horn accessory just for kylaq
Should I take it or just stick with the original horn, which didn't sound great
The atrocious looking (personal opinion) black bar connecting the tail lights seems to have been removed on the base variant.
Anyone planning to have them removed on higher models?

Probably OT, but I don't like this direction Skoda is heading in. Rohit Shetty first, Ranveer Singh later. Both of them are probably the exact opposite of Skoda cars stand for- understated elegance.
Or, why have a brand ambassador at all? How much is MSD helping Citroen? How relevant were "badass" Tiger Shroff for Kia, or Benedict Cumberbatch for MG's apparent British image, when it's almost exclusively called Chinese?
Finally got my allotment for Signature+ AT Lava Blue and did a basic PDI today. I asked about Skoda authorised dashcam and they have it from a company called Crosslink Wheels. Does anyone have any idea about it. It's price is 14K + 1K installation. I'm not sure about it though.
The showroom also has a tie up with Wurth and said they will provide 4 coats of Ceramic Coating in a span of 3 years for a cost of 30K. Can someone please also provide any info on that as well.

Which dealer are you purchasing from? I have booked with Akoya and have been following up for official accessories pricing list. I have seen it in one of the threads but wanted to double check from the dealer. Have you received the pricing list?

Few observations-
I loved the look of the car - visually elegant in white. I want to see the one in the Lava Blue shade in flesh.
The build quality seems solid. The doors close with a reassuring thud. I won't compare it with the earlier VWs or the Skodas, but the Kylaq felt solid among the current cars available in this price range.
The fit and finish feel good, without any unwanted panel gaps in a casual overall glance.
The interiors feel nice. Nowhere does it feel overdone. Looks are modern yet classy.
The interior plastic panels looked alright, but it was all hard plastic everywhere. A bit of a soft touch would have given a more premium feel.
The roof liner looks basic. But I hope Skoda has sorted out their earlier issues with the roof-liner.
The seats have good support, but I would have liked a firmer seat for support. The seats feel a bit more on the softer side. I am not sure how comfortable it will be in a 20-hour drive!
This car has a digital speedometer console, & am not a big fan of it. I still love the retro-looking dials.
The AC cooled the cabin, but it was not a chiller. Our Polo's AC is more effective than this.
Coming to the driving part-
The ergonomics feel spot-on. Adjusting the seats etc. was easy and handy. DogNDamsel12 complained that she would have liked a bit higher seat for her driving comfort. Even at the highest position, she said that the driving seat felt low for her height.
The first thing that I didn't like was the bite point of the clutch. I had to release the clutch a bit more than what I am used to, to get the car moving.
The clutch travel is long.
The gear shifts are precise and smooth.
The engine comes to life at 1500 RPM. After that it's F-U-N! When the turbo kicks in, just press the A-pedal and you will be smiling.
This engine will happily take you to 80+ in 2nd gear, but this engine won't be happy if you drive at 40 km/hr in 4th gear! :D Reaching triple-digit speeds is quick. Keep the car in 3rd and have a lot of fun on single-lane highways! This car can be driven fast on the expressways.
Below 1500 RPM there is a lag. Road humps can be crossed in 2nd gear, but 1st gear is preferable. The sweet spot for changing the gears will be at 2000+ RPM and do not lug the engine below 1500 RPM. The turbo kicks in at around 1750 RPM.
On a steep incline (from my apartment's basement to the main road), I stopped the car mid-way and then again tried to go ahead. This engine required more revvs when compared to the NA engines.
The brakes felt accurate and confidence-inspiring.
Now what I liked most about this car is the way its suspension has been tuned. Skoda has nailed it. It is a perfect balance between handling and comfort. This car can take fast corners, as well as the ride comfort is quite good on bad roads. This reminded me of my earlier Duster AWD. However, the comfort level of the Duster was far better.
Though it's a 3-cylinder unit the NVH was nice. My wife felt that the vibration on the steering or the gear knob is higher than her Polo 1.2 MPI.
I loved the engine sound when the car was revved to 90+ in 3rd.
I felt the steering to be well-tuned and precise. It was light at slow speeds and gained weight with speed. High-speed zigzag maneuvers can be done confidently.
Those who have missed the Polo 1.0L turbo can go for this car! You won't regret it!

The texture looks cool, but it's all hard plastics everywhere.
The head unit has a nice & smooth touchscreen, and it is not complicated to use.
For such a fun-to-drive car, this kind of RPM meter does no justice! Seeing the RPM redlining on a retro dial still has its old-school charm! The digital display is still fine, but I hated this RPM meter!
Looks cool! I quite loved it.
The boot space is quite big. Accommodating holiday luggage won't be an issue.
The rear seat is good for a couple of people. The leg space is just okay. The front passenger seat was set to my comfort zone. I am 5'9" tall, and the person sitting on the rear left seat behind me was 5'10. Under-thigh support seemed okay for my height. A six-footer may find themselves in a space crunch. Please take a longer TD and decide!
The seats give good back support, but I felt them to be a tad too soft. I would prefer a more firm seat.
Door pads look simple, & the door pockets are useful to carry your small stuff or a 1L water bottle.
The engine bay looks neat. No afterthought add-ons. The battery gets an insulation cover. The air intake pipe is also placed quite high. Accessing the basic parts for DIY maintenance looks easy.
No underbelly protection. While negotiating terrains like Ladakh/Spiti, the driver must be well aware of the underbelly components, especially the silencer box.
I have no clue why this plastic protection has been added. Whether it's there to reduce the air drag or to protect the fuel tank!
The key fob looks old and bulky.
Every car comes with its own set of pros and cons, but overall we both quite loved this car. A good job by Skoda. :thumbs up And thank you Global Skoda for the TD.

Congratulations. I guess all lava blue and black Kylaqs have been dispatched this week. We also got to see our allocated car (lava blue) today. Have scheduled an expert PDI from Zekardo tommorow morning. Will proceed with payment if all goes well.

I have also received allotment for Sig Plus Carbon Steel, might receive delivery next week.
This is the accessories price I got.
I saw a Kylaq in Amanora mall, Pune couple of days back and came back pretty impressed. We have a Kushaq 1L TSI MT so driving is mostly something we were not much interested in, we all love the way it performs - the midrange of the 1L TSI feels superb. Hey it gives mileage more than our cute Brio used to give us, we are easily getting 19-21 kmpl on expressways, 18-20 kmpl on highway drives and 11-12 in city.
The Kylaq no way looks smaller that the competition, it looks big from the inside and the materials used inside feels better than our Kushaq. Best thing Skoda did was to get rid of the chrome strip that was available throughout the dashboard which makes the most irritating creaks every-time someone accidentally or even remotely touches it :coldsweat.
The seats on the top model are straight from the ones I have on my Virtus GT. They have been great for long trips and felt similar on the Kylaq as well with the cushioning. With seats adjusted to my height (5'11 for reference), space at the rear was good enough but the Kushaq scores ahead here, the rear seat experience in general feels better in Kushaq and rightly so.
The boot somehow feels similar to Kushaq, I was surprised to see how Skoda have done that :thumbs up. One thing that I hate in my GT is the rear camera setup and same has been carry forwarded here as well which is absolutely wrong. Even after 4 years from Kushaq launch, the group has not been able to get the rear camera quality updated despite several customers and media people suggesting them to. How much of a change it would be from cost perspective?
Keeping the rear camera thing aside, this is a good product from Skoda and they have worked on the feedback received on the earlier products. This would a great car for someone who missed buying the Polo and prefers drive quality, safety and comfort over gadgets.

I had asked for dual tone trumpet horn installation at the dealership. They confirmed today that dual tone trumpets are not compatible, and only single tone trumpets would work. :Frustrati
Planning to get it changed anyway, tomorrow. Stock horns are ridiculous.
