2025 Tata Altroz Facelift Interior Review
Grand Prestigia dashboard features a 3-tone theme with some soft-touch finishes. Looks more upmarket than the outgoing car:
Leatherette-wrapped two-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom and silver insert is taken from other Tata cars. It comes with a backlit "T" badge and buttons. The light colour will result in it getting soiled very easily:
Buttons for the audio system, telephony, and voice commands are placed on the left spoke, while cruise control buttons and toggle switch to scroll through the MID are placed on the right spoke:
7-inch fully digital instrument cluster. It comes with a rev counter on the left and fuel and temperature gauges on the right with an MID in the centre. Time, direction, outside temperature, drive mode, odometer and DTE are displayed as well. The Accomplished +S variant gets a 10.25" Ultra View HD digital instrument cluster which can project the map from the touchscreen head unit as well as the blind view monitor:
You can toggle between two trip meters (with time average speed, distance and average fuel economy) and an instant FE meter. You can also change the layout of the instrument cluster:
Other MID options include a TPMS, power & torque meter, date & time and compass. Vehicle-related warnings are displayed as well:
Selected drive mode is displayed on the left:
MID will warn you if a door or the tailgate or the bonnet has been left open:
CNG variants get a CNG level indicator instead of a temperature gauge. A CNG mode indicator has also been provided:
You get a CNG trip meter and a mode ratio indicator as well:
Side A/C vents have been restyled. They get silver inserts on the flow direction controllers:
Switches for the foglamp, central locking and 360-degree camera system have been moved to the centre fascia. The area next to the engine start/stop button is blank:
Doorpads are beige & black. Their design has not been changed. However, the door latches have been restyled:
Front seats have been redesigned and feature additional bolstering. They are very supportive and comfortable for long-distance driving. Unfortunately, seat ventilation has not been provided:
Seatbase gets enhanced under-thigh support:
Silver inserts have been provided on the backrests:
CNG variants get a fire extinguisher under the driver seat. Loose connectors are an eyesore:
ORVMs are wider than before:
Centre fascia features a floating touchscreen head-unit at the top and a touch-type control panel for climate control and other functions:
10.25" Ultra View HD touchscreen head-unit by Harman has a crisp display and is easy to read. There is no lag while operating the touchscreen, but the sensitivity in certain areas is inconsistent. Music is played through 8 speakers (4 speakers + 4 tweeters). It's a very good sound system for an OEM unit. Owners will be happy with the sound quality:
It comes with a voice assistant, IRA-connected car tech with 50+ features, an air purifier and Drivenext connected car service:
Drivenext analyses and displays information regarding driving habits, efficiency and safety:
It also comes with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay connectivity:
The Altroz gets a 360-degree view system. Both front and rear camera displays come with dynamic guidelines. Camera quality is very good:
The Altroz gets a blind view monitor which displays the feed from the camera when you turn on the respective indicator:
Just like the side units, the central A/C vents have been redesigned:
Physical buttons for the foglamps, drive mode, hazard lights, 360-degree camera, lock/unlock function, and most A/C functions have been replaced by a touch panel. These require you to take your eyes off the road when you need to operate them. Thankfully, fan speed and temperature are still controlled by physical switches:
Button for switching between petrol and CNG is located here as well:
Type-A and 65W Type-C USB charging ports, along with a 12V power outlet, are located below the A/C controls. Wireless charging pad gets tri-arrow detailing:
Gear knob is identical in design to the Altroz Racer. However, since this is a 5-speed unit, it does not get a shift knob at the front to engage the reverse. The gear lever gets a leather boot and a piano black console:
Ambient lighting strip runs on the passenger side of the dashboard, below the A/C vents:
Roof bezel holds the switches for the sunroof and passenger airbag warning. DCA Accomplished +S variant also gets emergency call and breakdown call buttons here:
Just like the front door pads, the rear units are finished in beige & black:
Rear seat gets 3-point seatbelts for all three occupants, but only 2 adjustable headrests:
Under-thigh support has been bolstered. Overall, the rear seats are accommodating and very comfortable:
Rear seat backrests get silver inserts too:
Centre armrest now houses two cupholders:
Slot to keep a smartphone below the vents has been deleted. 65W USB Type-C fast charging port has been provided below:
Lever to fold the seatback forward has been redesigned:
