Here is another one who likes the original Punto over EVO. Add my brother and dad too.
Though EVO looks more sporty but is no match to the classic style of GP. The rear tail lights are so much better looking than EVO's (Subjective).

Fellow Punto owners, HOW in the world do I change the eq on my punto to a custom eq? I never got the stereo manual with my car so if someone could help me it would be appreciated.

Stereo is discussed in owner's manual only

@Akshay1234- The stereo controls and features are discussed in the main owner's manual only. Check the last few pages. There is no separate stereo manual for it. The separate stereo manual is useless.

Guys, quick question. The RSA does not take care of puncture repair, is it? I kinda recall one of the members who had a flat, called the RSA and got it repaired.
Are the roadside repair shops safe for repairing tubeless tires?

@To All:
I was checking out the GP yesterday at the showroom. I had these two issues that were wandering in my unsettled mind.

1. The Latest GP(I suppose BS 4) Emotion variant comes with 165 R14 tyres. But the one in the showroom had 175 R 14. I remember seeing 175 a long time ago for emotion variants in the web site. When asked the guys at the showrrom uttered that it is Euro 3 that comes with 175. Any reason behind this change?. I was really looking forward for a 175 tyre spec.

2.The Emotion pack as we all know comes with 195 R15 tyre specification. But wont it affect the mileage due to a higher range of friction/traction. Or are the Fiat guys giving the mileage specifying differently for emotion and emotion pack?

Nope RSA will not fix the puncture, but they will swap the tire with Stepney so that you can drive to nearest puncture repair shop to get it repaired.

As i mentioned before instead of calling Fiat support to change my tire and wait for an hour on the road, i would prefer change the tire myself. Last week i had flat tire in my car, it changed it in less than 5mins.

I think the ARAI figures are for the Emotion Pack variant only as E-pack owners are getting FE figures corresponding to the ARAI numbers.

100/90 Set up in Punto?

Guys, has anyone done a 100/90 set up for punto? I tried very hard with dealer I am getting my Punto, but the service station guy rejected it saying that some portion of the wiring has to be cut and it will void the warranty, but I think there must be a way to do it with out geeting the warranty in danger, help reqd... please..

Suggest that you drive around with stock lights for sometime and if you find it inadequate, only then upgrade. I found them to be more than enough.

Hey, is it not illegal also?

I do not recommend 100/90 Lamps in plastics Headlight casing for the various reasons.
  1. The headlight will fade much faster due to double heat generated.
  2. It will void warranty. In case of some other electronic fault the ASC will blame this as one of the causes.
  3. Unnecessary load on combination switch.
  4. Tempering with wires might impact overall reliability.

I dont know about other people but I found that the headlights of the Punto are surprisingly good. Get the car first and then decide if you want an upgrade or not.
