Rs 395/- for two plates (in Bangalore).
Sil plates are only for the front doors.

Mine is red and only 6 months old, and I have seen 12 new red puntos in my office in last 2 months. The dealer might be playing the trick to sell premium coloured puntos because they make 5k more on them, if some one sticks to the point no one can refuse/ delay booking. Be free to speak to Fiat customer care, I have seen from my own experience, after delay from dealer's end, when I complained about the issue, I got call from the very same dealership and the issue solved in 24 hrs time.

Re: Fiat Grande Punto : Test Drive & Review

I find that my CDs get very hot when I play them in my Punto Emotion. Is this a common problem?

Re: Fiat Grande Punto : Test Drive & Review

^^^The number I think will be on the front corner glass left hand side.

I think VIN is available once the car is dispatched from the factory. In my case I had the VIN 3 days before the scheduled delivery.

BTW: Which version of Punto?

I got the VIN number once the car was loaded on to the truck. Co passenger floor area should have the VIN number, there is a cut in the floor mat over there.

Your are welcome, did PDI of my car today, the odometer reading was 21 with the "H" visible. Fit and finish far better than the 2009 model. Planning to take delivery some time next week.

Re: Fiat Grande Punto : Test Drive & Review

pls correct me if i am wrong .

I believe this "H" means that Odo meters has not been reset since factory and one can safely assume that CAR has genuine KM;s on the odo .

is there any way to find out that car has run with ODO dis-connected . I believe it should be tough for dealers to disconnect ODO in modern cars but still possible ?

I have installed it in my punto active.

It costed me Rs. 9.5k (MRP 10k) including installation. The price has come down now to 8-8.5k.

Once you book the car, Fiat will indent your order against a manufactured and readily available car. As per what I was told, the manufactured cars and moved to a central inventory along with Tata cars before they get indented. If there is no car in stock (quite a possibility if you have gone for a Dynamic variant) then you will have to wait for them to manufacture a new car which will then be indented. Post this you can get the cars VIN.

Hi Sumit, have you installed Fog lamps too? and one more question, after installing the central locking does it work for 5 doors or 2 doors?
