Not chrome (like in my Indigo), but is a standard badge that is common in application. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Hey, colours are an extremely subjective choice. If you like it, go for it!

We'll only really know how the Manza is doing once by December. And sales will flatten out by April.

Hey, the good thing is, I know how many units the Indigo CS sells. Thus, a safe assumption on the Manza's sales will be easy to arrive at.

I have 3 black cars and don't really find them too high in maintenance. Only gotta get the polishing / waxing done on time, that's all. Case in point : This 4.5 year old 60,000 km black car. Looks just as well maintained as the best of them, would you not agree? :)

i have personally seen this car in the showroom which was parked just beside a Visata, ans its almost impossible to guess that its not Visat. On the back side, man someone welded a trunk. It looks horrible from the back.

Thank you. Yes the 2 colours look similar . The white is more of a metallic silvery yellowish white . not the normal flat white. I think this is exclusive to private customers and wouldn't be the white they give for commercial use.

This is a pic of a VISTA Special Edition II which was on display . It was in gold colour. I dont know if it will be the exact colour for MANZA.

ha ha no, i dont own DZire n never intend to buy one. If i have the option between these two, then ill go for manza lol:.

@ GTO ... Great and a very detailed review. Couldn't stop complimenting even if I sound repetitive.

I was initially not happy with Tata calling this "Indigo Manza". But, when I came to know that they have discontinued with the prev. gen. Indigo I really am not bothered with the name. This makes sense that they are trying to show that Indigo has grown-up in this new avatar.

But, the Indica sisters is certainly a very bad idea. Both cars have almost the same silhouette. At first glance one can't easily distinguish between the two. If Tata wanted to sell them together they should have have two entirely different body shapes to distinguish the car and, as everyone (other than the guys at Tata Motors) say, should have removed the Indica reference from Vista.

I am stating about the Indica here to emphasize the point that the name "Indigo Manza" is not a bad idea.

I'd still prefer Tata calling this car the "Tata Manza" only. But yes, you have a point. The regular Indigo has been discontinued, thus its a different situation compared to the Indica / Vista sisters.

Compelling point. Also, as someone else pointed out earlier, its a question of brand continuity (much like the Jap car makers) & consistency. Portrays stability to the consumer's mind.

That's right. The new Vista was on display at the showroom in my home town(same color with alloy wheels). Looked pretty good. The salesman was saying that, Satin gold will look similar but later contradicted himself by saying that he had no idea about the colors. Looks like most of the showrooms in India are displaying the same 'colored cars'.
By the way, I saw one of your previous posts, which quoted "Looks like you really love the manza".
To be frank, I was pleased to have an option(better) besides the Dzire.

At first I thought badging it Indigo would not gel well with the brand new product. But I agree with the point drsk is making. The brand association and faith in the brand goes well, just like the Jap cars (City, Civic, Corolla etc).

This surely goes to create loyalty in long-term. 100% agreed to your statement "This makes sense that they are trying to show that Indigo has grown-up in this new avatar." drsk.

Kudos to Tata. I am waiting for my TD. Hopefully soon I will post my buying exp and initial driving exp. :)

So, If i understand the summary of the review right... the major benefit of Manza over Dzire is space, and comfort. Hence if I have a family with 2 adults and kids, Dzire makes more sense only for the two reasons ->(1) in-city mileage is better than Manza and (2) Maruti ***.
Where as if I have a larger family or a family with people slightly on the larger size :D, then Manza is better.
Do you agree with this?

Prima Facie Manza has all the right boxes checked, one should not go wrong with a Manza. One thing disturbs me though is the resale value 5yrs down the line. A five old indica fetches about the same price somewhere between that of a five yr old 800a/c and Alto. Thats the kind of hammering a tata car gets in the used car market moreso here in Delhi which has been a out and out Maruti city

And if you dont want waiting period. more powerful engine, more accessories, its the Dezire.

windiesel ( vin diesel fan eh? ) ; The Indica would have done more odo too by then. A thing most people dont taklk about here.

Yeah... and I forgot to mention (rightly pointed out by windiesel in the post below), if you want a better resale value after 5 yrs... its the dezire

jk, Atleast on paper, its the Manza that is more powerful right? Or is it power/ weight consideration?

I believe Manza is more powerful as per specs and is better equipped as well so i guess the above statement is an error or is there anything else we must know?

Guys, JK's saying, if one doesn't want more power then he can go for Dzire. So he agrees with you guys that Manza is more powerful and with more features.

I think the . instead of , is what causing the confusion :)
