It sure did't fall off! Someone has probably used a screw driver to flick it off. It has left a scratch mark on the panel.
Haven't enquired about the replacement price. I am more than sure it'll go off again! These miscreants are too active here.
But it did make some space for another T-Bhp sticker!
This is how my car looks now!

Heard that some students are stealing various logos just for fun.
Even i heard about those students. My friend has even managed to get back his Palio's logo from them!
But this happened at the office parking Salbin :(

Oh! That is bad.
Then I should be careful while parking in the office parking lot.
I think the cab drivers are the culprit in your case.
But without having an evidence, we cannot point out anyone.

I remember Alstonlobo installing a wireless cam in his Beat. Such systems can find this miscreants.

@Salbin,
Ya its those guys that i suspect. Have told them not to wash my car anymore.
As mafia pointed out, the security authorities thought its too simple an issue that I'm trying to blow-up when i complained to them! They just don't understand how close our cars are to us.

I must say that your car looks equally good with the T-BHP sticker there. Smart way to cover up the lost logo.

Re: Chevrolet Beat : Test Drive & Review

Auto freak - Sorry to see your car being vandalised, look at the brighter side, at least they dint rob the front Logo, and I bet there is NO way to cover that up with any sticker, good job with the sticker cover on the rear by the way.

I too had my car vandalised in my office parking lot few months back (see my thread for pics). Now I have fitted a cam which I find extremely useful (even on the move). That's the best we can do man - wait and watch who the culprit is. But end of it all what matters is peace of mind. So dont fret over your lost logo, the best you can do is only replace it, so don't lose sleep over it. Hope all is well. Best of luck

Thanks a lot for the kind words

@Alstonlobo, Just checked your thread now. Very sorry about that.
Hope you've got those scratches sorted out now.
Wish you trace out the miscreants soon and nail them!

Re: Chevrolet Beat : Test Drive & Review

I have done 8K, getting about 14 kmpl. Wonder if its because of the change of the tyre size that its less than what is being mentioned by you all.
DreamCatcher - I have uploaded some pics on page 40 of this thread. For me this car requires an upgrade in tires no matter what.

Your car looks awesome LedZep! Just love those wheels!
About the tyres, you are right. The car feels a lot more planted and sure-footed post upgrade to 175/65 Michelins.
My car has covered 9k km till now.

I am running my car on the stock 155/65. I have covered close to 10k kms(Due for a service in a couple of weeks). The breaking so far has been great in most cases. Can I fit in wider profile tires on the stock wheels? Dont have the cash for alloys. I still dont understand how wider tires reduce FE. Iw ould also like to know if the ride quality is better on wider profile tires.

The original rims are 14"x4.5. 175/65R14 is the widest size which you can fit on these rims. I have done that and find no issues.
Mine are alloys though. But the same size, 14"x4.5

The three primary resistances to vehicle motion are aerodynamic resistance, rolling resistance and gravitational force.
Wider tyres due to the increased contact patch on the road, increase the rolling resistance.
This in turn makes the engine work harder to overcome this additional resistance.
To put it simple, the car burns more fuel to overcome the additional resistance. Hence the FE drops.

If you are not finding any issues with the stock tyres then better keep it running. Dont expect any resale value for a 10K run tyre.
In my case I retained the stock tyres and changed to 14*5.5 alloys. The idea was only to improve the looks. But later understood that the body roll has got reduced due to the wider track after changing to alloys (the footprint is wider compared to the stock set-up). Check the pic in my earlier post: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ml#post2099629

BTW where are you getting the service done? Kropex/Sundaram/Trident?
Mine is also nearing 10K. In case if it is Kropex I will also try to give on the same day itself.

Re: Chevrolet Beat : Test Drive & Review

After months of getting 13kmpl in the city, I tried a 50% highway + 50% city trip and I got a mileage of 16 kmpl with 50% AC usage. My car has not undergone any ECU remap and its running on stock tyres with a pressure of 32psi maintained weekly. Fuel is always ordinary with no additives.
