No idea.
Need to be checked and confirmed by Beat diesel owners.
I am not sure on whether the instrument cluster for Beat Petrol and Diesel are same or not.
PM me if any of the Bangalore T-BHPians would like to join me for the DIY when I receive the switch.

Yes, it should work for Beat Diesel LT and LT(O) models since there is no difference in the sensor and instrument cluster. My only doubt is on Diesel's ECU. But still, technically it should work.

Only thing I envy on Diesel is the Golden Logo on steering wheel.

If Bangalore was less than 1000 KMs from here I would have joined you

Cheers!

BTW, today I got a confirmation call from rsdelivers. They confirmed that in most cases it will take less than 6 working days to get the item.

Don't worry - there is nothing to get screwed-up - only unscrewing.
Hey Salbin, A switch for me

Looking forward to hopefully joining you for the DIY when you receive it.

Re: Chevrolet Beat : Test Drive & Review

Sallbin, thanks for the awesome discovery, and sharing it with us here.

I can confirm that the switch works in LS variants, with the exception of temperature feature not working, as the temperature sensor is absent.

Just pulled out the dummy switch and shorted the terminals on the PCB with a wire.

Can someone help me get the black switch in Delhi?

Re: Chevrolet Beat : Test Drive & Review

Good news
Received the switches yesterday from RSdelivers.
It has come from UK and is made in Japan!
Looks to be exactly same as the other 2 switches available in the PCB.
Planning to install on this Sunday.
Here is the pics of what I received:

@myavu/samarth.bhatia/chevybeat:
I can courier it to you guys from Delhi.
@samarth.bhatia:
LS can get the temperature function just by adding the temperature sensor.

Ohh, we are just exact on the count.

Total 10 switches received.
Required - 9 switches.

IIRC, LT and LS would require only 1 switch since Clock switch is pre-installed.
PS would require 2 switches. One extra switch for the clock.

superutp - 1 switch (Beat LT)
adg_andy - 1 switch (Beat LS)
salbin - 1 switch (Beat LT)
soumyajit9 - 1 switch (Beat LT)
samarth.bhatia - 1 switch (Beat LS)
Mr.Beat - 1 switch (Beat LT)
myavu - 1 switch (Beat LT)
chevybeat - 1 switch (Beat LT)
kphilip - Beat model unknown
