Deeptrip, Contrats on your green beat. Please post pics soon.

So do you mean you got car cover, cigarette lighter, key chain, mud flaps and mats for free from the dealer. Do they come as a standard with the new stock or its just from your dealer?

Please post the pics of the seat covers and mention the price.
Also give the prices of any other accessories you asked for.

thanks everyone. I'm also looking for that USB converter I wish Chevy had provided it with the car or as a part of the accessories I won't mind paying for it. I should be able to get this from a local comp shop.
congrats to da.maulik, redlaw, quadmaniac, azharace and others (sorry if i missed any one) for being the proud owner of a great hatch. The true value for money car and true fun to drive.
Also chek out the music system it has lot of soft features I love it may change the speakers later but as of now they are too good with Jagjit Singh Live concert Gazals playing only in the rear two you feel as if you are in the concert and the music also cuts the outside noise.

About The AUX & Accs. of Chevy Beat

Thanks a lot Vprodigy.

well, I made a simple solution with the AUX thing in the Music system of Beat. I found a 2 way 3.5mm standard pin, which connects to my iphone & the AUX of the Music system. Totally agreed with Vprodigy, if you are a Gazal Fan or want to listen soft music. You can definitely get the best sound with that & there are of course the CD player, the FM. So many features. I am still intrigued about the Company of the music system. There is a beautiful feature called Power saver that you must be knowing. when you stop the engine & get out of the car, all lamps & lights will be off except the courtesy light. A little but a good feature. Guys, finding the USB isnt easy in a town where I live, on the exact right end of the music unit, I plugged in the 3.5mm & got my iphone live. Music Unlimited+you can hear the phone on all speakers. Check out the 3.5mm plug which can be fit in both Ipod or other cellphone or anything because its a very standard & universal thing & the problem will be solved. I will keep posting such things & if I am making any mistake in language or grammer please let me know, thanks alot.

Guys, I would be getting my Beat LT (white) delivered day after tomorrow, writing a checklist, it would be really helpful if you could help on the following -

1) What all does the dealer provide along with the car (any standard accessories? car cover, mud flap, floor mats etc.) what all? And is it his discretion to add/remove any of them?
2) What all comes in the trunk....jack, first aid kit, emergency flash tripod stand...pls give details...what all?
3) Is there a remote control provided with the audio system....
4) I heard, in MP a dealer gave a discount of 20k on new beat, could that be true?
5) Any idea on corporate discounts, is it applicable on beat anywhere (any other location)?
6) How much does the Teflon coating cost. and how many coats included? Is it advisable to get it done, keeping in mind the white color.
7) Any other thing I should be considering apart from the physical check of the car before the delivery along with the paper work.

Thanks (in advance) a lot for helping out.

Anyway congrats to all the BEAT owners. I am sure this car will never let you down. Great going GM.
No no no.... I am not in sales field and I am working in an automobile company which is not GM. So be sure what I said is unbiased.

I had recently gone for a small highway trip. Got FE of 18 with full AC on. Drive was in economy mode. Stayed below 85Kmph. It feels wonderfully refined. However the lag in response and lack of torque at low RPM makes overtaking a bit difficult. Ride is pleasurable. No harshness involved.

So in my opinion---
1) If you love to drive go for SWIFT not BEAT.
2) If you want a car for rear seating comfort (for parents) go for RITZ.
3) However the co-driver's position is the most enjoyable part in this car. So if you want to impress your girlfriend you are spot on.
4) Or if you have a constrained budget like me (3.5 EX sh) BEAT is the best.

@Oxygen: Wow! FE of 18- that too with full AC! That is really a good news. Please post some photos.

@quadmaniac: Even I too was searching for a Mini USB male to USB type A female adaptor.
I think it is difficule to find in indian market.
But as an alternate solution I am planning to go for a Mini USB male to USB typeA male adaptor, which is easy to find in the market for less than Rs100 along with a USB type A female to USB type A female adaptor/cable, that again will cost ~Rs100.
Only thing is we have to adjust with cable on the appearance part

@deeptrip: How did you managed to get the free accessories from the dealer? Here dealers are not giving any free accessories.

@redlaw: Me too booked a Green Beat LT on the same day and still waiting! Waiting is really frustrating. Got a call from the dealer last week and he was offering me a black LT and told that he can deliver it on the next day. But I said "No".

@vprodigy: Nice pictures.

I think GM is going in the Value Engineering way.
Look at the Chevy logo on the steering wheel.
The earlier models had a golden logo!

I am waiting since a long time to share what I have related to Chevy Beat. I booked a Green Beat LT variant on Feb 5th at KUN Automobiles (Newly opened Kondapur Branch) Hyderabad . Its been 3 weeks and am still waiting on it.

I have not seen a green Beat photo in the forum so far. So I thought I would upload few pics I have taken during my TDs. I'll write a detailed post on my TD and showroom experiences later.

This is the TD vehicle.
Congratulations redlaw for booking the car. Could you please let me know the OTR price for Beat LT. I'm also planning to buy a car and Beat is also in my list. Thanks for the pictures

The Golden logo is of the LT Option pack with airbags. The other normal logo is there on all other variants including the LT.

Yes I got car cover, lighter, key chain, mud flaps and mats for free. I had to push the dealer a little bit, as they had delayed my car by atleast 15 days. Due to some order number mistake on their part.

I will post the pics on tuesday or wednesday. Price for Chevy seat covers -3500. They are leatherite ones, very snug fitting.

@ salbin - I had to push the dealer a lot and make a fuss about customer satisfaction. Actually I was very dissatisfied with the delivery time and got in contact with the dealership owner about unsatisfactory service. I was nice and polite but not an easy customer. hence the freebies.

Oh! I was not knowing that.
