Yes..
Isn't it is too much? A price difference of 63K! due to taxes alone.
Here is the present cost break-up in Bangalore:

Ultimately Bangaloreans get bad roads and never ending traffic jams after paying huge taxes!

Karnataka is one of the most taxed states in the country! and New Delhi is one of the most subsidised !! Not a fair comparision! it would be ideal to compare prices to Chennai!

note the wheel arches are curved on the body in the concept stage. In the production vehicle it is sort of flattened! the curves make the car so much cooler! and of course the the other after market fitments

Can anyone here throw some light on how much fuel efficiency I stand to lose if I upgrade to 185/60/14 with alloys? The manual says not to change the tires but seeing those small shoes really makes me feel sorry for the car.

KA is highly taxed but Delhi is not subsidized at all its just that Delhi is less taxing. The word subsidy is a MYTH, even the fuel that you fill in your car and the kerosene which is used to adulterate it is not subsidized. This world is greedy because its inhabitants are so.

Congrats myavu. Please post a detailed thread once you've spent some time with her.

As an aside, I wonder why you were charged 1450 for the body cover! I was charged some 950 or something.

I so wish GM published the prices of spares too. I have a feeling it's all dependent on the showroom here.

Thank you very much quadmaniac!

There was two covers. One normal with price 950 and other with price 1450. They where explaining some advantage over the other. I will give you more detail on this by next Monday.

By the by, any news on Beat's black-silver alloy with golden logo on the center. I saw one Green Beat with that in Delhi. It looks terrific. But Metro Chevy don't have any clue on that.

What if I upgrade the tyres to 185/60 R14 with a suitable Alloy. How much FE drop will be there? Will be any speedo error? Will the tyre touch the inner wall while turning?

What all parts are covered under standard and extended warranty?

Cheers!

Extended Warranty!

3 year standard warranty

4th year extended warranty - Rs. 5400/-

5th year extended warranty - Rs. 8400/- (I had gone for it)

But what all parts are covered under warranty?

is it only

a) Engine
b) Gear Box
c) Shocks
d) Wiring

anything more.
