AFAIK, the limit should be some sort of addressing limit built into the memory controller. So, it should be very difficult to change the limits.

the wipers are fun the use . with different speeds and it clears the windshield very well .

i did not hardbraked the beat on wet roads as it was a sunday and ongoing traffic however should definately try on empty roads and give you the results .

overall it was fun to take the beat in the rains .
OT: Strangely it is on the first heavy rain drive in my Figo TDCi that i realised that the appolo's are not that good. Maybe it could not handle the torque on the wet roads. Good to know you are enjoying your car.

@ vihang15 and alstonlobo, nice to know that the BEAT (with the stock
tyres) did well in the rains. Proves the car's ride and handling
capabilities. One more reason for prospective car buyers to select this
car !
@myavu, thanks for the info about the audio player. I believe it would be
of great use to all the BEAT owners.

@grules

OH! that's bad. Can we flash the memory with some custom patches? Do other manufacture's (Swift, Ritz, Punto & i20) stock audio HU has this limitation?

My 8GB can easily handle around 2000 songs but yesterday night (about two hours) patiently deleted many songs to match 999. Now all 999 songs are playing fine.

Regards

Vinu

Congrats, looks like you went for the LT(O).

As Topo says, post your impressions in a separate thread with more such gorgeous pics!

EDIT: I think its not the LT(O), but the LT plus alloys. Since I don't see the golden logo at the centre of the steering.

Could you please share the details of the selection criteria while selecting the BEAT ? Also, what was the waiting period for the car?

Wishing you happy miles ahead.

@ auto one, Thanks a lot!
Here's the decision making process!

I am single and was on the look out for 'cool car' as you said! that had loads of character. I wanted to use it for my daily commute to work and a 300km trip to my home town once a month. I needed a car that looked good, that was not too dated with its underpinnings (i dint want a car that was discontinued in the rest of the world!).

I had shortlisted A-Star, i10 and the Beat. The Figo was not in my list as i had a feeling that its a "family hatch".

The first car i looked at was the A-star. I liked it for it compact footprint and cute looks and smart interiors. I took a test drive and found it adequately powerful as well. a flat discount of 20k was on offer as well. Sounded like a good deal.
Then went to the i10! It was all beige everywhere! It had a nice 'quality-feel' to it. But it couldn't manage to win my heart. May be it would have had i been 10 years older!

Then came the Beat! It was love at first sight! i saw it and it stared back at me!!! Voila! i had found my car!
I sat in the car and started the engine the silent idle and the digital tacho won me over!
Then there was no looking back! i just went ahead and booked a red LT!

It was more a decision from the heart.

@myavu, Thanks a lot! Got the OEM alloys for 17k (set of 4)

The waiting period was 20 days.

Auto Freak, I think you really made the perfect choice. The Beat suits your requirements to a T. Well done and congratulations.

I really liked the red colour as well.

I am going to do a TD of the Beat this week. I already own an i10 (1.1 L Era) and plan to replace it. Many people call me idiot or even a retard for replacing a 2 year old car which many say are perfect. But it is just mind over your heart. i10 era has never managed to win my heart.Let me check out the beat!
