@reignofchaos
Ah the armrest of course! Missed it completely.

It's an exact copy of blue silk on ameo. In fact they were sitting right opposite to each other and a vento cup car, Jetta & beetle were sitting in between. When looking at it in person I saw no difference between Ameo and polo's blue silk exterior. About the discs I apologize, don't exactly remember it perfectly but when I went closer to look at the rims I think they were drums. When asked on how much it will be, after a lot of talk he said maybe 15 ish grand. I think he just threw a figure at me to move on from the price topic.

To me it really seems like they're trying to match Ameo's offerings in the polo itself as well so people who don't want a stubby boot can still choose vw. Although if they really want that, ABS update on the polo Trendline will do nicely.

+1. But it is not sure when the Polo will be updated with Ameo's diesel engine and other features. I was quoted a waiting period of 2 months for the GT twins but the showroom guys were not sure of any update to the Polo within this period.

But with this update, there should be price correction. Hope VW surprises as they did with Ameo diesel

Thanks to Sourabh M for sharing this information!

My dealer (Kannur, Kerala) informed me that an update is confirmed from the company and updated cars will start reaching towards the end of October. They were also told that this is different from the all-star special edition and the updates were going to be permanent.

The updates as the dealer confirmed from the company are:
1. Front armrest
2. Parking camera from Ameo
3. Rear A/C vents

That makes VW Polo a strong contender in its segment with these 'Desirable' updates
From experience, the AC on the Polo is not something I like to harp about, though it is not very bad. I am hoping that with this addition of rear AC vents, VW have updated/upgraded the AC Compressor.

One thing that I am honestly hoping VW really provides is a Boot Light. You cannot just price a small hatch at nearly 1 Million bucks and not give a tiny boot light

Are these updates coming for the GT TSI as well? And these features would be launched without a price hike ?

From the snaps, it also looks like the arm-rests on the door cards are padded with cloth-upholstery just like the earlier models. Contrary to the textured plastic sold on the current gen ones.

Safe to assume these will be added only to the highline? Or are there chances of these making in to the comfortline variant? At least the 1 & 3?

Ameo has all these 3 features only in highline. That should be the case with Polo too I believe.

If rear aircon, parking camera make it to the comfortline polo, then that would be a steal in my opinion. The front arm-rest in Ameo felt like obstructing the hand-brake to me.

Re: Volkswagen Polo : Test Drive & Review

Finally, official update from VW. The interior looks nice and posh now. I am planning to wait to see this car in showroom before I book the GT TSI.

Re: Volkswagen Polo : Test Drive & Review

Any idea if the Polo all-star version is coming with the DSG box on Diesel version? Will these changes come on the Polo GT version?

Probably not!!!

It will hit Vento Sales...

Right now Vento is selling only the Automatic versions. They are waiting for the new engine which will be soon enough.

Polo ALLSTAR will come in the 1.5L diesel MT variant. Most likely to be only in top variant(Highline)

That explains the current offer of 60k only for the diesel MT when I enquired this week with a dealer.
