Anyone else felt same? From front the Polo looking like new Palio!
You are not alone my friend who is finding them similar. Check out the link below.

Overdrive first impressions of the VW polo! Check it out guys!

It seems to be an overall decent car - but as mentioned looks are sweet! This car is really begging for a larger engine, and when it get's one i'd be glad to get it.

Ridiculous Pricing

Polo 1.2L Diesel TL 542,000
Polo 1.2L Diesel CL 592,500
Polo 1.2L Diesel HL 682,500

with Figo D starting at 4.4L and fully loaded one coming at 5.29L (for a 1.4L engine), these prices look ridiculous.

Good luck VW, you gonna need a lot of it. I hope you recover enough money to pay for your multi page paper ads at least

Well i have a strong feeling Polo will be the same case as Jazz and Fabia.

VW pricing on the higher side fine, but then not with the current engine offering, either they need to lower their price or else need a better engine TSI may be and more refined diesel with adequate power.till then it will be between Figo , Swift and Ritz.

Ford has got the very good car at an awesome price, only glitch is there A*S and maintainance cost.

A house is on bet for the fact that " Polo is the best looking hatch in country and most of us will agree on this " which you can hear in the road test video.

Do we all agree or at least most of us ?

IMO, it's Punto closely followed by i20 and then comes Polo.

had a look around of Polo at the downtown volkswagen in bangalore. the quality of the car is really superb. i have not seen such quality in a below 4.5 lakh car till now. the interior fit and finish, the plastic quality, very very good. wife accompanied me, she liked the two tone interior design for its understated elegance. i just loved the 'thud' with which the door shuts, the gear box was also very sweet. I am not an expert on engines, hence no comments.

in terms of overall styling and looks, polo is so opposite to beat. when compared to a 'streetside romeo' that is Beat, Polo is like a 'perfect gentleman'.

I second that completely. In fact the thud was a little too loud for my comfort of mild discreet

Thanks MuraliR for this bit of info. However, the Polos that we inspected the rear windows rolled down completely. Regardless, would ask my friend to have this checked again. The showroom is only 5 mins drive from our office (deserted roads; my friend has brand new Civic. I will reschedule one of the meetings tomorrow & tag along with him instead )

1,5 lakh difference between polo diesel HL and figo diesel is crazy. and when GTO is right about the diesel engine (polo) VW will have to rethink their pricing...

the diesel used in figo we all know to well.

And *** of Ford will be surely better than VW at current stage.
