Thanks,

Its a dynamic. Will share the break up!!

If you are planning, may have to do it fast. It seems their inventory for which offer is available is very less. Factory has been closed for year end. The 1 lakh discount may not be applicable for Jan 14 bookings or they may be just clearing the inventory to make way for the face lifted model. As per the dealer they have only Oceanic Blue in dynamic. White and Oceanic Blue in emotion.

Re: Fiat Linea T-Jet : Test Drive & Review

Whats the top speed the t-jet can do comfortably with full load ?

My punto runs out of breath at 120 kph at full load and acceleration is really slow beyond this.

Was wondering how the t-jet fared in this regard.

Not sure if it would be an apple to oranges comparison over here, but would like to share my experience. I was driving my brother-in-law's Vista D90 on the NH50, Pune-Nasik highway one month back. We were 4 well built adults (average weight > 70 kilos), with our luggage. A white scorpio in front us was doing some 90 kmph. The moment he saw a Vista in his RVM, he increased the speed to 100, then to 110 kmph. I waited for a clear stretch of road ahead, dropped from 5th to 4th & in one clean swipe overtook the white monster. Before I could realize, my speedo needle had already crossed 120 kmph mark & was raring to go beyond. However being a two laned road, sanity prevailed. I did not risk going any further & settled @ 100kmph, the moment the scorpio became a tiny dot in my RVM.

Moral of the story 120+ & car fully loaded is easily achievable with the multijet (& it was a VGT in this case).

I was quoted OTR 8.7 lakhs for the T-Jet Plus including extended warranty by K.P.Automobiles, Ranchi. What deal you got for the T-Jet? Heard huge discounts on the outgoing Linea are available everywhere. The new facelifted Linea is expected by March I believe.

Guys, are these ex-showroom quotes? How much is the discount being offered? And what is the vintage of the cars being sold?

Is your punto 75HP and 90HP ?

90HP should not have any problem .

Re: Fiat Linea T-Jet : Test Drive & Review

I have a peted punto that delivers 90hp. I can tell that you really need to work on the gas pedal beyond 120 kph if the car is loaded. It does go up to 140 but really slow.

Even if it's peted, doesn't matter as long as it is a 75HP. It would definitely be better than a stock 75HP, but no comparison with a 90HP.

Progress post 120 is very slow with the 75HP when compared to the 90HP.

I hope the air filter is clean and the turbo hoses are intact. Did you see any abnormal black smoke when accelerating?

Filter is clean and no black smoke. Turbo hose is intact , I believe , although this is something I'll get checked in the next asc visit.

Returning to my original query , at what speed does a loaded t-jet start gasping ?

The process quoted is OTR. As per the dealer the cars are Oct 13. Waiting for the VIN number.

Hey SDP,

I drive a 90hp with RD chip in - I have reached 180 without a fuss with 4 adults and alone have been able to touch 195.

Also, the car just pulls like a bull all the way till 4750 RPM - no lag and no strain either.

Disclaimer : Answering to the question asked earlier in the thread - no other reason to put the figures here.

To quote the related figures from the manual:

Fiat Linea T-Jet : Test Drive & Review-screen-shot-20131229-10.12.43-pm.png

(this is for the 120HP T-JET and 90HP 1.3L Multijet variants. 1.6L Multijet is 105HP and Indian T-JET is 114HP(?))

8.7 lakhs on-road for the Linea T-Jet Plus including extended warranty offered by K.P. Automobiles, Ranchi.

Probably early 2013 models, however did not confirm with the dealer so this is just a guess.

That's one heck of a juicy offer! Great grab for someone looking out for a FTD petrol sedan.

If I am not mistaken, the Tjet + used to cost 11 lacs OTR.

Yes in most parts of the country. However taxes in Jharkhand are very low compared to the other states so without considering the discounts on offer, the Linea T-Jet Plus used to retail for 9.8 lakhs OTR in Ranchi.
