Actually, I think they do, and probably always have done.

Exe - Sir, if you choose black, then the delivery will be delayed and you can expect them in May.
Instead of accepting it, you may want to ask them to cancel the booking and see their response. But that way, if things doesn't go well, you might really end up canceling it

Even last week, for any colour, they told me that the wait period will be around 3 months in Blr. So your case seem very strange!

Ya I know. They might just dont care if I cancel my booking. They have one huge list of bookings. SO one cancellation wouldnt matter.
I know it's strange since I had booked in July and come in the top 35 cars.

Anyways, the good news is that there are only a handful of Ventos in cochin. Say around 5 or 6. So I should be in that list .

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Nice Pics there. Congratulations buddy. I need some clarifications.
1. What was the buy back price for the tyres?
2. What is the stock alloy rim size. Any issues after the change from 185/60 R15 to 205/55 R15. Is it 5.5J?
3. Did you consult dealer on warranty issues? What all will be void if you upgrade?

Thanks.

Thanks anilkalvani.

I got 2000/tyre for the original 185/55/R15 ( I had clocked about 50 km when I upgraded the tyres). The S Drive costed me 5000/tyre.

Stock Alloys are 15", not sure about if its 5.5J. Need to check on that.

About the warranty, all dealers are bound to say that the warranty is void with any modifications. I have had no problems with the upgraded tyres. I have clocked 700 km so far, no issues at all. I have taken my chance with the warranty, but I guess there shouldn't be any warranty issues with the upgrades, bcoz I have heard that the Vento's overseas are fitted with broader tyres than the ones offered in India.

@srishiva Yeah..its one helluva looker..esp with the broader tyres. It does feel rock solid on the road...esp highway driving is a pleasure.
I touched 120 kmph without even realising what speed I was doing. I did want to push it beyond that at least for the first 1500 km.
I had read an article in TBHP about the Yokohama S drive being noisy at high speeds, didnt find any of that, probably need to check the noise at higher speeds.
Anyways I am extremely satisfied with my car.

I will post some pics of the interiors once I upgrade to leather seats. Otherwise, interiors are pretty much plain looking. You can check the interior pics posted by GTO on the below link.

There shouldnt be any issues with warranty I guess, though the dealer tells you that any upgrades and the warranty would be void. To the extent that I want to get the High Line fog lamps installed in the Trend line, they are telling the warranty would be void, I guess with the original VW parts that shouldnt have been the case...

Excellent pictures chet1376. Thanks for sharing! The car looks awesome. I just love the classic understated design of the Vento.

What's been your experience of the driveability of the car in the highway and city? Any Niggles at all? Are you considering opening a ownership experience thread?

As far my knowledge goes fixing of High Line fog lamps on to the Trendline model is not possible for the VW Polo. I am not sure whether the same holds good for the VW Vento.

@ Chet1376, if haven't started an ownership thread yet, please do so at the earliest, a lot of potential buyers would be benefited from it. There is hardly any thread on the Vento.

Congratulations Chet1376. I believe these are one of the first pictures of a self owned Vento over here. The meaty rubber does give the car an awesome look. I must say you did a bold move by fitting the S drives on a brand new car. Pl share with us your driving experience in the city as well as on open roads, preferably in your own separate thread. Also what are your plans for accessories, ICE etc?

Enjoy the Vento effect.
