24 hour Wheel Alignment, Balancing, Tyres & Alloys : DBS (Cochin)

I plan to do wheel alignment and wheel balancing from them tomorrow evening on my way from Tcr to Klm. Hope the contact number remains the same as in first post. Any landmark to identify the place?

After you take the left turn at Edappally Junction on NH byepass move towards Palarivattom signal. You have to access DBS through the service road on the left. Take a left U turn on to the service road just before Oberon mall and travel in the opposite direction to find DBS on your right. If you pass Oberon mall, you have missed it already, take the next U turn to the left service road and continue on it to find DBS.

Hi, Visited there by 7pm yesterday and all bays were full. But very politely told me that i may have to wait for an hour. I continued my journey as i have to reach Klm by 11pm.

Seems they are no longer 24*7. They closes at 11PM on workdays.

Yep, they are no longer 24x7. Bibin mentioned that max 1-2 customers they get past midnite. No point in keeping the shop open he said

But I have seen Tyrex open well past midnight on many days, with all bays empty. They are open even on festive days where DBS used to be shut.

I went to DBS for checking the alignment and balancing on Saturday.

They no longer operate 24 hours due very limited footfalls during the night. IIRC, they are open till 11PM except for Sunday.

The service is very good and the technician explain everything that is being done. But I found the rate to be on the high side.

In Bangalore, alignment and balancing will cost me around INR 550ish. At DBS, it cost me 780 bucks. Is this the rate across Ernakulam?

They charged me 50 for tyre rotation and then gave a 50 rupees discount on the total.

DBS has opened a car wash + detailing center behind their shop at Edapally. I went there on Thursday for a wash and the attention to detail was staggering.

And best thing is that they got a lift too to wash the under body properly. For the Fiesta, they charge 400 and under body cleaning is included in that currently.

There is loads of space.

I took my car there last weekend. They did a very thorough job, and charged me just 350/- for the waggie, including charges for lifting and cleaning the underbody.

I feel it is phenomenal VFM since they use top notch equipment for the wash, and the microfiber cloth and sponges they use are all brand new.

I always recommend this place, professional and courteous staffs. Few things which stood out.

- Technicians cross check each tire nuts with a lug wrench.
- Test drives the car after done with the job.
- Another round of test drive with the vehicle owner.
- Willing to listen to us and answer to our queries with patience.

If planning for a weekend visit, suggest to go by morning.

Using their wheel services from their olden days including some purchases of Bridgestone tyres.

Here is my recent review:

Pros:

Attention to detail
Good troubleshooting skills

Cons:

The quality of workmanship is going down day by day
The costs are increasingly high
Poor selection of tyre brands
They will push you the tyres with high commission even to knowledgeable customers

I think their USP(professionalism) is going down the drain.
