3M Car care has started their outlet in Kochi on Vytilla - Palarivattom Bypass. It is located opposite to the Gold Souk Mall. They offer all the standard services offered by 3M car care.

I have been there on last sunday (2 June) to avail the following services

1. Interior cleaning - Germkleen.
2. Foam wash.

The experience was quite good. The staff are very courteous and friendly.

There was not much rush so my car was taken immediatly for the work. It took almost 3 hours to complete.

I visited this outlet during their first week of operation. The person in charge was really friendly and suggested the best plan for my car after taking my car inside for a quick inspection. Even though I havent used their services, I shall be going there soon. Looking for a med range interior and basic exterior package.

I visited 3m car care today to do a thorough interior cleaning for my friend's ertiga.It was at service center for some accident repairs for past 2 months and interiors were in very sad state, thanks to maruti service.3M guys have done an excellent job and car feels much better now.We have also got underbody protection done.

A day well spent with good results.

The person in charge is very professional although the prices are exorbitant. I would recommend to only select the service that you are in very much of need since 3M centres are known for up-selling.

Got the power sealant advanced from 3m Cochin. The car feels much smoother now. All the swirls and minor scratches are gone. Nice job by the 3m guys. Cost 4790+tax= Rs.5382/-

Do you whether they have products for sale? Like their spray lubricants and cleaners.

They have meguir's car shampoo, spray wax, tire cleaner, quick detailer, mf clothes, wash mitt etc. Didn't see any professional stuffs though like polishing compounds or clay bars etc.

I haven't seen their wash mitts on sale. Are you sure it is available Vaisakh ??

By the way, I had enquired about the compounds, clay bars etc. They say they are not permitted by 3 M to sell these items. Will need to find other channels to get hold of these.

A friends 2009 BMW 320d in Thiruvalla has a few body scratches here & there (these are those regular deliberate scratches that we all have to put up with in most cities). Will this 3M detailing center have a solution to hide off those small scratches. Any other alternative garages?

Also, the inside handles on the rear doors (both LH & RH sides) heats up during long drives!! Is this normal for certain model years of the Indian assembled BMW 3 series? Is there any known solution elsewhere other than the BMW 'stealer' in Cochin?

These items are heavy duty and usually quite aggressive. A newbie or amateur DIY guy can do some real damage with this stuff if used incorrectly. Hence as a protective measure, they will not sell these off the shelf. However, you can purchase them online. Not sure about clay bar, but I have seen UC retailing on several websites.

Guys, how do you rate the services offered by 3M Kochi?

Is it worth driving down from Trivandrum just for getting paint sealant + underbody coating done, compared to just getting it done from the dealership?

Visited 3M car care on 22 October to get interior germ clean treatment.However I end up doing Powershine treatment as well. I am very happy with the results and it has taken few years of my 4 year old 1.1 lakh Kms old SX4.

The personal attention from Sanil and his staff is comendable.

I would like to know that too. I am in TVM and my car needs a nice detailing job badly. I happened to park my car under a tree and got a lot of tree sap marks on the paint. I managed to remove the tree sap with a hand sanitizer, but the paint looks bad in those areas. Need to do a thorough detailing job. Considering that I'd have to drive 200kms to Kochi to get a 3M job done, I wonder whether it is worth the drive and a day or two spent.

While at it, are there any good detailers in TVM/KLM that someone can suggest?
