It is an absolute blunder on my part not to post this review on Team-BHP before, since I have been sending my cars to them since 2002 for all bodywork / paint and mechanical work needs. They have worked on every car I have ever owned and I have always been satisfied with their work.

The workshop is owned and run by Mr. Anand Daga, who is an enthusiast at heart and sits in the workshop everyday for 8 hours +. I have seen this workshop work on BMWs/Audis/Mercedes/Land Rovers/Bentleys, and the final paint finish is always either as good as or better than OEM!

I am quite a tough guy to please when it comes to colour matching and paint finish, but I find it difficult to ascertain which panels in my own cars are OEM paint and which were re painted by them.

For accident related work I always send them my car because they still have the attitude and skill set to repair body panels and parts rather than always blindly replace as the authorised service centres tend to do. I hand the car over to them and they deal with all the insurance related hassles.

Although I have never got my car modified / customized by them, they do have a lot of traffic even in higher end vehicles for Body Kits, projector headlamps, etc etc.

The pricing is reasonable but they keep quite busy.

I think they are part of the Glix group. As far as i remember, they ve always been called A. V. Designo.

Yes they are.

A.V. Designo goes by the moniker of AVD on its' serviced cars (look out for the name near the car manufacturer's name in the rear).

These are amongst the most professional in terms of car repairs, and charges likewise. Pretty old shop and most popular car-mod brand in Kolkata, in my opinion.

Would you recommend this workshop for a friend who would like to get a painting job done on his classic car ? His car is out after being static for some 15 years. Body repairs and welding have been done.

He stays in North Kolkata. Also would be happy to have feedbacks about reliable paint services workshops in North Kolkata.

Rudra I dont have the before pics of my cars, the after ones are in distinguishable from OEM finish.

I dont know whether I am allowed to get photos from them and post on team BHP.

I recently had cause to visit them, and I am extremely impressed. Their repainting is indistinguishable from the OEM finish.
