Good one, did you by chance check on the availability of the UV cut glass which now comes only on the Baleno Alpha version ? I got the Baleno Delta & have been looking high & dry to upgrade the side windows to the UV cut ones. I believe AIS in the OEM to Nexa too for these.

Thanks Shashi for sharing it here and for the heads up yesterday. The story for letting know the others about the Aveo's glass that you mentioned in your post is that my cousin was travelling with his family yesterday and was to bypass Ranchi but unfortunately a Tata Magic side swiped his Aveo UVA smashing the ORVM & driver's side window glass on the highway. He called up me for help arranging these stuff in Ranchi while he was still 50-60 kms from Ranchi. I called up the only Chevrolet service center here to find that they have shut shop too. While I could arrange the ORVM after a while, I called up Shashi for arranging the window glass and as usual he had a solution to our car related issues, as always.

I found SKS Auto a very good alternative, or may be even the first choice for automobile glass related needs. I was actually surprised to get Aveo's glass in ready ready stock given both the car & the manufacturer are long gone. This says a thing or two about the stock keeping of the dealer. Hope this helps others too.

Yes,UV cut for Baleno is available. You can order UV cut glasses from MASS also. The benefit of ordering through a similar AIS dealer of your city will be:

1. Cheaper price compared to OEM.

2. AIS doesn't have any concept of MOQ(Minimum order quantity). Just for your info, suppose you order a Glass in MGP, while it can be sold unit wise, Maruti will send it as a Pack of 2. For this reason, many MASS and MGP store would be wary of placing an order only for you. No such issue here.

Mr. Akshay is gem of a person and we also discussed at length about other types of Glasses like Acoustics Glass which is available for cars like Yaris, City etc.

No, as of now they are only distributors of AIS products. But the chap confirmed that they will start a separate dedicated section for service and then they'll have insurance tie-ups.

For insurance you can check out Windshield Experts, which is Asahi's own fitment chain. There are enough reviews in the forum. My experience has been always positive.

I bought altis windshield glass and new wipers from the store.
Experience was exactly the same as leoshashi.
Good pricing
Rare altis glass was available ( local Toyota a.s.s. doesn't even have altis air filter in stock)
And owner is a gem of a person.
I even left the car at his place for many hours and he was happy to accommodate.
Got to check the windshield and wipers during heavy rains the next day on highway and everything has been perfect.

Highly recommended.
