Folks forget prices of petrol going down.
I was at the pump this afternoon. And the prices were infact up.
I rubbed my eyes again and again and once more.
The price of petrol was actually dearer by 30 paise.
Ok ok
So its not by a lot.
But it was a shock. Especially when i actually looked anticipating a rupee or two drop

How can that be? Where did you fill up? This is very strange indeed.

Re: Trusted/Untrusted Petrol Pumps in Pune

Guys, Shell prices in Bangalore are reported to be lower than PSU pumps as of today. May be worth checking if the same is true in Pune as well!

Re: Trusted/Untrusted Petrol Pumps in Pune

The Shell pump on Paud Road (other side of the toll gate) had a board indicating petrol at 67.95. Not sure if that is an old board, but someone going that direction can check and confirm.

Re: Trusted/Untrusted Petrol Pumps in Pune

Went to Shell bunk in Hinjewadi today and got a pleasant surprise. Diesel was priced at Rs.54.45 So this has been a drop of Rs.8 since May.

27th May - Rs. 62.45
3rd June - Rs. 58.45
04th July - Rs.54.45

Yes and Petrol was some Rs.67 odd for the unleaded. For premium petrol it was Rs.70 odd.

Today for a change saw 6 cars filling up at the bunk and all were Petrol vehicles.

Re: Trusted/Untrusted Petrol Pumps in Pune

67 odd for the unleaded sounds GREAT! This is cheaper than the PSU bunks in town and only slightly more than them outside city limits!

There will be a HP petrol pump on the left, avoid. IOC pump comes on the right side just before a new Maruti Showroom/Bank of Maharashtra building.

Thanks Swanand.
Thanks @dot for sharing this info. I filled up last time and no issues and usual mileage. Though the pump doesn't look too organized from outside but the fuel quality is good it seems, they do not accept card. Even though I am a regular visitor to this pump for tire pressure check, never filled up before. Pump used by me for fueling is mostly the BP opp. RTO and sometimes K.Park BP. This IOC pump saves me quite a lot of distance and fuel.

Too optimistic ?? -
Noticed today the Shell pump near Mundhwa crossing - few people cleaning the fuel dispensers. Are they opening soon? Any info, Punekars ?

I am happy that you found the pump useful. Hope they maintain their quality in the future. As we know QC is this business is pretty fickle.

Also a bit surprised to read that they dont accept cards. I have always paid by card for the last 2.5-3 years now! However, sometimes, they do ask if the card is visa. Maybe other card affiliations have issues.

Re: Trusted/Untrusted Petrol Pumps in Pune

Guys,

I am regular reader of this thread and I think we should make this thread as "Trusted/Untrusted Petrol Pumps & Puncture wala in Pune", because everyone's experience on Puncture wala's will be to good to share as well.

What you all think?

I have bitten with many rupees when I was not aware of the Puncture wala racket and there tactics in and around pune.

Thanks,
Vishal.

I agree, but with the amount of stories people are going to have. I think we may be better off with a separate puncture walla experience thread. Whats say?

Any way will work, however this will be good if we keep both in same thread instead of maintaining and following 2 thread.
