I'v been testing the fuel consumption on my CBZ-Xtreme in the last few days. Here is an intresting very recent observation -

Filled 2 litres ordinary petrol + System 2 3 at the BP Petrol bunk at the begining of North Main Road. Fuel efficiency = 88/2 = 44 kmpl

After couple days...

Filled 2 litres ordinary petrol (no System 2 3, as I forgot the carry the bottle) at the BP bunk opp. RTO. Fuel efficiency = 108/2 = 54 kmpl

Calculation was done reserve to reserve. Bike was driven in more or less similar situations.

So you can see, the difference is huge! I almost never fill petrol anywhere except the RTO COCO bunk.. and sometimes Kulkarni bunk on Laxmi Rd. But that day it was imperative for me to fill up from the bunk at the begining of North Main Road (can't recall name).

Hi Guys, my experience with the first HP pump between Wakad flyover to Hinjewadi chowk has so far been good. I am filling at this pump for last 1 year and M800 gives 19/20 average every time. Yes, my driving is mostly on highway since I stay on Pashan Sus road. So I am unable to understand some of the members bad experiences.

Filled at this pump today. Sells only Super Unleaded. Price 49.95 per litre. Offered to clean windshield with cleaning liquid, top up the coolent etc free of cost. Overall decent experience. Need to see how the much average improves/decreases over next 2/3 fills.

^^^ They dont sell ordinary petrol?? :(

And coolant top-up free of cost?? Surely they charge for the coolant used, dont they? And which coolant? Not a great idea anyway, unless they are using the same brand you are using... unless you prefer some witch's brew in your radiator.

So let us know how the Shell gas affected your fuel efficiency.

Another Shell Bunk spotted just after Magarpatta towards Mundhwa. It is right after the Hadapsar Station flyover and should be open in a couple of weeks.

This particular pump is a company operated pump and i have always been filling up at this place whenever I do a Pune-Mumbai-Pune trip.
Rather, I have always filled at HP outlets. In pune I fill at the HP outlet in Camp (which again I am told is company Operated)
This could be a one-off case or error on the part of the HP employees there.

This one should be ready in couple of weeks, but if you drive towards chandan nagar from Magarpatta, you will find another Shell bunk within 4-5 Kms. Thats where I fill up when I am unable to go to Camp for a tank fill.

Ok, the big one approximately opp. to Dorabjee's, right? But atttendents are not a reliable source of info, if I may say so...

Anyway, is the bunk any good? And do you get a good mileage by filling up there?

Thats right. Attendants are not the most reliable, but you will always get regular petrol there as tankers come in everyday except Sunday, unless HO is not sending regular petrol.

The average is normal. No increase or decrease, though less than the Shell Super, which is obvious. But I haven't filled petrol in any other bunks in Pune except these two and the one's on the expressway.

Do not, I repeat - DO NOT - fill up on the petrol bunk right before Empire Estate building in Chinchwad on Mumbai-Pune highway, without getting out of your car.

I have seen and caught the attendants fooling an old man once. Had a huge argument, and finally the old man's bike ( rickety old CD100 ) was topped up free of cost as he decided to let the buggers go without any action.

Shell fuels are good

Hi, Once I filled fuel at Shell Pump in Airoli, Navi Mumbai. The performace and pickup of my car increased.

Now moved to pune, Magarpatta. I just read that there is a shell fuel pump towards Mundwa. I will go there to fill up.

Any Good HP pumps near Magarpatta or camp.
