| ![]() Hello people since we all need to refuel our cars/bikes regularly I thought it will be a good idea to post about your bad experiences with petrol pumps and petrol pumps which you trust. Quote:

BHPian | ![]() The Bharat Petroleum pump in Wanowrie has good service and i either tank up from there or the BP factory run pump by the RTO at the end of the LeMeridien road. |

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() I stay close to Chandni Chowk but never dare to fill up at the Pump either on the highway or at the chowk itself.. Adya: Both the pumps have the same owner.. I always tank up from Autolines pump which is the first pump on the left hand side after taking a right turn from F.C. Road towards University. They have good service and the attendants make sure that you see the Zero mark. Also add to it a free wash of windshields and Free Air on electronic pumps.. Another option is the BP pump on F.C. Road which also has clean fuel supply but do not have an electronic air pump and I do not trust those needle gauges after I lost a tubeless tyre due to over filled air in it.... Pumps to avoid in Pune are: 1) Chandni chowk HP pump (Both - on the highway as well as Mulshi Road) 2) Indian Oil pump on Karve road. 3) HP pump at Shivaji statue in Kothrud. 4) BP pump on NH-4 close to Warje. 5) Bhapkar petrol pump (BP) 6) HP pump on Pune Satara road close to Dhankawdi 7) BP pump next to Mhasoba gate 8) Indian Oil pump opposite E-Square 9) HP pump at Chaturshringi 10) HP Pump next to Hongkong Lane in Deccan 11) HP Pump (Newly opened) in Aundh Sanewadi Quality of Fuel has been bad and a lot of car owners then blame the service station guys for poor service of their vehicles and failure of critical components like the Fuel pump, etc. I observed recently that majority of the authorised car and bike service stations in Pune have put up notices outside their workshops alerting customers to use higher octane gas in their cars/bikes to avoid damage to their valve mechanisms, etc.... !!! |

also it will be good if you put reason as why to avoid pumps you mentioned as just in case if anyone have to fill there you can keep an eye on the problem | ||

| ![]() I try to stock up at the Autolines petrol pump. Otherwise the BP pump on Karve road. (But being choosy about a pump is a luxury I can ill afford when my car is on reserve!!!! Just fill up at the nearest available pump!) BTW, stupid question: Does it make a difference if you use 'Speed' once and 'Power' the next time? I mean since the octane rating is the same, it should not matter, correct? |

| ![]() moralfibre, good list that.....I stay close to C-C as well and I never fill up at the 2 you mentioned sicne I have heard bad stuff abt them.....only filled up my sisters 800 on the highway one, but heck nothing ever happens to that car .. My regular one for my bike (and mostly for my car) is the BP pump on Tilak Road near Nehru Stadium/MCA office......else the one in Navi Peth on 80 ft road.. |

| ![]() I use the second petrol pump (from Kasat) for my cars. The on the opposite side of the road for my bike and the Kinetic. But it is very chaotic. The IOC pump on Sinhgad road (near the canal) is also good. Petrol pumps avoided- the one near Chandani chowk, had a bad experience with the 800 once. Also avoid the Kothrud one (near Shivaji statue) , as I have heard stories about that one. No first hand experience though. |

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() Just an alert to you all DO NOT use the HP pump in Aundh. They are as bad as Chandni Chowk for fuel quality. |
