Emperor is undoubtedly the best ICE shop in Kerala. There are many threads/posts about their dedication and attention to detail. They have one of the best tuners who can bring magic out of any ICE.
I have not had any personal purchases there, but have many friends, who have had great experience there.

+1 to that.

I've got the ICE for my Swift done from Emperor. Installation was by a guy named Zuhemi recommended on this forum. I am happy with the results.

Also got the K&N extreme for my 800 from them.

Drive on!!

The problem with Emperor is that they are quite un-approachable. The rest is fine.

They needs to take some crash course in CRM.

@mithun

You are right. They are not polite. I went there for an installation. But they were not the kind of people I would like to talk to. Very harsh. So simply walked out. They should know that their competition is getting better. My personal opinion though.

True.
As I had mentioned, they already have a huge list of customers who spend like anything. So they least bothered when it comes to new customers. I even got my car modded for 20k. For me that's a huge amount, but for them it's another new customer with less mods.
But if you keep them busy for sometime, they will definitely be the right choice. Am almost in good terms with them. Try Mr. Riyaz, he is the best among them and will provide added advantage like good discounts.

There is no such thing as a discount at Emperor.

In a way, true. But I was offered some discount and provided free installation. They might have included this in the initial cost, but after all I had good experience with these guys when compared to other shops in Cochin.

I got my
  • Automech FFE (for Zen),
  • Strut Braces,
  • Auto Gauge rpm meter
  • Fabric Seat covers
from these chaps.I had a good experience.

Then when my dad bought the swift got the
  • alloys,
  • tyres and
  • exhaust tip
  • special allen-key bolts for the alloys (as it was required for the alloys we got)
from this place.

Sad to say the "Nankang" tyre was total waste fo money. If the emporer guy had told 50% of the truth I'd not have bought them. Tyres went almost bald around 22k Kms and too dangerous as it reached 25k so changed them. Noisy tyres and the grip was a flip-flop affair. Either there was 100% grip or around 20% grip on the limit. In the wet it was like MRF zappers.

Even so went there to get HID, the response was horrible so walked away and got it from Philips.

They really need to learn how to behave to people. Be polite atleast. 10k might not be huge for them but from the customer its not just the "spending" bit, its how they are treated.

They have a huge collection of stuff, even so I'll not really recommend them.

They cannot always rely on the existing customers alone. For a business to expand in the long run, the customer base should expand first. I don't think they are doing a good job at it.

@navin.raju Thanks for the pointer. Will try Mr. Riyaz the next time I go there (in case I go )...

That's true. Even I have been going behind them for HIDs for the last two weeks. Now trying to find another ultimate shop.

@Diesel:
You can directly approach Riyaz. He is the only person you can count on. (As you said, if you go..!!)

Try http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/other-...es-cochin.html

I don't think the local installs bring them large money. They are big time distributers of various stuff all over Kerala.

I see that no one has responded in this thread in months. I just came across it now and I can't help but add that Emperor is the worst place to go to just because of their attitude.

One of my friend's had taken his car there for ICE and he is someone who knows that he needs to put in four speakers and a head unit. They were like "You are an idiot and you don't know anything. Just give us your money and go we will get it ready". However professional they are in installation this kind of attitude actually turns people off. He simply walked out and got it done from somewhere else.

naveen.raju thankyou for all that information. Does he stock 3M sunfilms as well? I intend to get the following done
1. 3M sunfilm for front ,rear and sides
2. Philips extreme power for the headlights
3. Install witson/caska(still deciding) and upgrade speaker setup.
4. Stanely seat covers(does he do them)

As for the seat covers EVM motors has a tie up with someone and they said they can get it done for me. Though I am still awaiting a quote for the same.

Would you be able to guide me, as to whether Emperor would handle the above jobs?

Any idea about Jerrys at TVM. Do they do the same things as well? help

Please see my answers below:

1. 3M sunfilm for front ,rear and sides - YES
2. Philips extreme power for the headlights - YES (I had installed Osram bulbs from here)
3. Install witson/caska(still deciding) and upgrade speaker setup. No idea whether they can source witson/caska but speaker upgrade, YES
4. Stanely seat covers(does he do them) - YES (I had planned to fix Stanley on my Vento here. Got a quote of 30K but decided to go for art leather sometime this month)

EVM motors had quoted 34k for my Vento. Since you are planning for Stanley, why dont you check their Showroom. It's right opp Gold Souk, Vytilla. I had approached them too. Quoted 34k. But since am on a tight budget, I'm planning to go for art leathers.

In short, Emperor is pretty good but on an expensive side.
