What I liked at this place:

• Good service
• Skilled manpower
• Mr Chenoy once in a while himself makes a round of the bays to check the work being done. He will also interact with you if you are around to know your problems.

What I didn't like:

• Not a very large place.
• The place on the first look resembles more of a shed than a garage

Overall:

I would rate this place as an honest place to get your job done. They were a TASP till recently (as late as 6 months back, I think...). All their mechs still wear the Tata overalls. They were also a MASS at one point in time. So they do have a variety of expertise with them. They store genuine spares unlike many other garages. The huge inventory room is courtsey their association with Tata till late.

I got my alternator repaired there in flat 2 hours and I must say the work was done very well. I paid all of 1700 bucks for the job. In comparison the TASS guys wanted to charge me some 3200 bucks for certain parts plus labor without any assurance that it will work (if it does not then you will have to either change the alternator or as our mech will then suggest was their word on it).

They also have a Dupont Paint Booth and I think they do a pretty decent job at a very good price. I have seen even Honda City and Toyota Innovas amongst others being painted in their body shop.

Changing alternator would cost you almost the same ( around Rs. 1500- 2500) if your vehicle is an Indian brand, and costs less than 10 lakhs.

Dont get me wrong, I believe you are aware of the used spares sellers ("disposal") market just opposite Osmania hospital. You get almost everything there, mostly originals, though one must be on guard.

I got a Bolero dynamo from there for Rs.1650/- Works fine, working since past 16 months. New one was around Rs.10,000.00
