Suman da knows his stuff! Luckily for the common man like me, he applies that to his work and his work speaks volumes of his knowledge!

Would recommend his workshop for any kind of repair work in Kolkata!

Daga Autolek! Look no further! The owner is a gem of a person and is extremely knowledgeable. His shop is adjacent to the Rabindra Sadan metro station, next to Exide!

Hi All, Could you pls recommend some other FNG other than Alok Automobiles, as Alok Automobiles though good is loaded most of the times and there is huge waiting time to get the work done.

May I please know what type of car related job that you interested upon? More important, which part of Calcutta do you stay? In case you stay in North, happen to posses a Tata, Maruti or Hyundai car, please send me a PM.

Hi Rahul sorry I can't figure out how to personal ping or either it is not enabled as of now in my profile.
I own a Honda Civic AT and generally go for regular service and maintenance related concerns. I stay near the Rabindra Sarovar metro station near Tollygunge.

I am sorry. Though I do know about a good automobile workshop, it is located at extreme North Calcutta (near Shyambazar) and they only work on Tata, Maruti and Hyundai cars. I asked the owner once the reason why and he told me that they had some tie up with the spare part dealers of these companies, while it is difficult for them to obtain genuine spares for others. And it is faraway from your home too.

thanks anyways, I also have a Maruti Car, could you pls share the details of the shop, just in case if i want to visit.

I have been going to AA since 2009. Yes, the workshop stays over filled. That's why call up before going for regular service work. In case of emergency, your car will be taken care of / accommodated.

Dear Rahul Da,

Thanx for the info on the Tata, Maruti and Hyundai. I have a Manza and a Swift. I stay in Salt lake, and the shyam bazar is perfectly suited for me. If you could provide the no. Need to show the manza for clutch and brakes (25000 km, 4 year old) and the swift for total checkup for 1,55,000 km. (2006 model, vdi).

Thanx a Ton, will visit and and give the feed back to all fellow brethren, It was a real help, as Alok da (Alok Automobiles, in E.M bypass connector), was too busy to take any repair and service jobs, for another 10 days.

Please also remember that I am in no way associated with this workshop, though my overall general impression as a customer about this place is quite satisfactory. Hope that you will also have a decent experience from them too.

The Service period of my 2014 Grand i10 has ended. I was not over-pleased with the HASS, and do not want to use the servicing agent of the company tie-up..

I have heard a lot of Alok. They are at the top of the shortlist. Looking forward to other recommendations too.

The relationship shall be long term and involve my future cars, and of those my loved ones.

After spending the first 6 years of her existence in Bangalore, my pocket rocket has been doing duty in the no holds barred battlefield that is Kolkata traffic. After she picked up a few dinks and scratches from some noble road users, I started searching for a trusted place locally. My search brought me to the doorsteps of Sumanda, who inspires immediate confidence with his vast knowledge of automobiles and his polite-to-a-fault demeanor. Not only did he not get a boot panel painted, but also serviced the car, all at a very reasonable cost. I recommend him without hesitation not only for his expertise, but also the way he treats his customers.
