You need to periodically check if they still list your car for sale and can then after a few days download the updated RC in the parivahan app.

I sold my last car (scorpio) through Spinny. .
I have not contacted either Cars24 or Spinny as I am scared reading about the delays in RC transfer. However H Promise informed they will transfer the ownership to themselves and make payment in a week or so.

How is H Promise in terms of RC transfer and payment? Anyone has any experience dealing with them?

Folks, just wanted advice on how to sell a 2012+ registration (10 years crossed) diesel vehicle in Delhi NCR. As you're all probably aware, Delhi/NCR rules are that any diesel vehicle above 10 years needs to be scrapped (regardless of condition).

Leaving aside how blatantly absurd this law is, it's leaving me in a bit of a spot. I have a Feb/2012 Ford Endevour 4x4 which is in perfect working condition and is very close to my heart. Having run into the cops a few times, it's with a heavy heart that I now realise it's time to part ways with this beauty who has served me well and faithfully over the years.

There is absolutely no need for her to be scrapped. Does anyone have suggestions on what to do? Spinny/Cars24 in Delhi are not interested / not reverting.

Does anyone have any contacts for how to have it sold in adjoining states like Punjab, Himachal etc. where it can comfortably run until 2027. Any help or suggestions welcome!

You cannot legally sell a DL registered car if its crossed the 10 yr limit, it has to be scrapped. If you have a run in with tough cops then they may simply take it off your hands there and then so be very careful about taking it out now.

Its as good as driving an unregistered vehicle, be very careful!

Guys, I recently sold my HR registered car to an acquaintance. The opening post of this thread mentions the following documents to be retained by the seller:

1. Form 28 29 30 (copy)
2. Delivery note (original)
3. Buyer's ID proof (copy)

I have requested these documents from the RTO agent. Do these documents still hold true today or I need anything else as a seller for future reference?

Sold my Punto a day back and received full amount. Now the buyer is in another district in Karnataka and his nephew is going to receive the car on behalf of him. His nephew even had come with a mechanic and checked the vehicle. I have asked the buyer to fill up all forms duly signed and then courier to his nephew so that I don’t sign any blank forms when I handover the car keys. Should I also make his nephew sign some documents? The buyer has shared his bank passbook,Aadhar and PAN with me. What else should I be careful of to protect my interest?

Hi everyone, I plan to sell my car through VW Das WeltAuto. I did not see too many posts in this forum on Volkswagen's used car division. Are they reliable and is it safe to go with them? Any pointers will help.

Based on my experience of selling my Maruti and my friend's experience in selling his Hyundai vehicle, looks like the respective used car business is giving good offer (TrueValue in case of Maruti and H Promise in case of Hyundai). Strongly recommend to try this option if you are planning to sell your car.

Case: I have sold my Wagon R to True-Value by closing the outstanding auto loan with a bank; now True-Value is asking to submit original NOC?

Need Advice: Is it required to submit original NOC to True Value, which they will in turn submit to RTO?

When you closed the loan, did you remove the hypothecation on the RC? If not, yes you have to submit the bank NOC and the bank will have no problem in issuing that.

If you have already removed the hypothecation in the RC, then there is no reason why bank NOC is required.

Not an expert on this but as per my understanding this is how it works.
