Kadam Sir,
No updates for the past three days. What's happening?
Dying to know.

Sir, lots and lots of work happening on the car since the last 3 days, i myself have not been able to come home early, work going on late till night as the upgrades being done are a little time consuming.

Firstly the twin-carb set-up and tuning, not an easy task as my mechanic does not have the balancer and he does it purely on his intuition/ experience, and yes he has done an amazing job at tuning itclap:

Some pics and a video for you guys, a couple of days from now the car will be delivered.

Positively lovely! Looking forward to more updates.

I would have loved to see leather seat covers installed.

Car work delayed majorly as ULTIMATE DETAILERZ surprisingly are unable to match their time:eek:

Need to see some other alternative arrangements. But Mechanically the car is Perfect, All Electrical work Complete, Upholsterer too is ready to lay in the carpets. Tinker has to fit the bumpers once the detailing work is done. Too many fine-tuning work being carried out the whole week, what seems to be a day's job is taking a week.. well, thats the way it is. :)

Nice! How was this lowered? Are you using dropped spindles for front?

Nilesh, we had ordered Lowering Struts for the Front and adjustable swing arm for the rear :)

Car is almost ready for the D-Dayclap:

Well well well.. Most of the work on the car is now coming towards its end. :)

As the D-Day arrives, the car is taking shape and most probably within a few hours, the Super Monster should be Delivered :)

More detailed pics will be posted tomorrow.

Pavan Sir,
Most eagerly waiting for the updates

What a fabulous finish, I specially liked the reflective snap taken, awesome - a picture talks louder than words and I think with that snap you have made that clear enough!

This is going to be one outstanding beauty both in looks and performance.

Thanks in advance!
Cheers,

Thanks buddy....:)

The car is almost ready to go, waiting for the number plates.

Good job Pavan. The car has turned out very nice looking. The engine looks really good.

What is the road clearance on the rear muffler? With our badly designed road humps in the city and State Highways will the road clearance be a challenge?

Cheers

Nice job . Two things I would like to point out is the rear muffler as pointed by KpS and fuel delivery with this pump ? Is it enough or you are running an electrical unit

Hi Pawan,

This is another exclusive restoration of yours that has come up very well. And so soon. The paint finish and gloss is mind blowing. :thumbs up

Hope there is covered parking to preserve this beauty.:)

Thank you very much sir.

That is a simple practical 1.8 litre, Twin Port, Air-cooled Engine with Twin EMPI carbs, Electronic Centrifugal advance distributor, and with Headers and End-Can.

1) The car is Test Driven for over 50 kms over worst possible roads in and around my locality, The End-Can has scraped JUST ONCE:D

2) The Fuel Delivery is PERFECT for the Twin EMPI carbs.

Since last 5 years, i have stopped integrating Electric Fuel Pumps due to its hazardous nature.

Special thanks to GLASURIT dealer for providing us the Perfect shade for this car.

Will put some more pics and Engine growl videos tomorrow.

And the car is ready to be delivered, just waiting for the insurance guys to come over to inspect and Insure the car.

Excellent job Pavan. This Beetle has come out really well. The engine bay looks beautiful in the blue shade.Truly a great effort from your side.

I've been following this thread on a daily basis. Great job Pavan! That paint shade looks killer on the car. Butt!!

I was expecting few proper photographs of the car in full finished form.
For some reason, you didn't oblige.

Thanks a lot Ram, The team has to be lauded for their effort since the day the project started.

Without their commitment, i would not have been able to put this car on road in a matter of 27 days.

Its a quick restoration, but we have not left any stone unturned, and done lot of trendsetting examples.
