Such a strikingly pretty car! It is such a pleasure to see such a beautifully restored machine up and about on the roads. I do hope you can figure out the whitewalls on the tyres, they go so well with that white roof.

The blue lady had an extended drive last Sunday with a fellow BHP'ians in Coimbatore. We took to some roads less driven and it was a beautiful wet morning!

The first 2 weeks in December 2018 was my annual leave and I had decided to make proper use of my vacation. It started off with a trip to Ooty and Kotagiri in the blue lady.

It was a solo drive to Ooty and spent a couple of days there and then off to Kotagiri where my Parents joined in and it was another 3 days in there.

Was little skeptikal on how she would behave on the hills in regard to the engine temperature, but post the radiator cleaning after Mysore drive, it was a breeze!

Though not as peppy as my Super Select would be on the ghats, the Select was good in her own 'sober' style.

In a few days after the return from Kotagiri, it was time for Karaikudi for the Vintage car show! This was the second year and was conducted very well this time too! Would love to go back again for the 2019 edition.

Waiting for the others to start the journey:



Lunch stop at Dindigul Venu. The only relief we had by taking this route was the lunch in here! This route better be avoided due to the road conditions.

Started off from there around 1:30 PM and took the route via Trichy and reached Coimbatore around midnight!

All in all another fantastic trip of 750 odd kilometers in 3 days!

Spotted you this morning around 7.15 driving on Coimbatore -Salem highway. I was in a red Aspire heading back to Bangalore.
That's a nice section of 6 lane highway to do a lazy Sunday morning drive.

The blue lady is undergoing some much needed repairs.

The starter motor needed to be serviced. Whilst we started reaching the motor we found one by one parts getting corroded and so the list of works got added on.

The water jacket was the next and what followed was the water pump. To be Frank it was in very bad shape and I should have taken proper care much earlier.

The mech got the starter motor and radiator removed and took them out to respective specialists for further care while I was supposed to head out and hunt for water jacket, pump and the packings for them.

Pump was available easily. The jacket is gonna take time, but a good friend had one in his spare stock and so borrowed from him and will get him a new one once it's available.





















Decided to get the radiator done up properly. Getting the cores changed with the same tank. Hence it's taking time. So works are on hold until the radiator is ready.
