yes karl, you surely know the bugs around eh? atleast the good ones.
Phenomenal could pass off as an understatement for the paint job.
First time i noticed this car was back in 2001 i think. Havent seen it for a while now, heard the owner moved abroad.
The owner did mention to me that the rear scrtapes with anything more than two people in the car, how true is that about the restored beetles in general?

There is yet another white beetle in bandra with blue stripes driven mostly by a young guy, i'm sure quite a few people around have seen it, and probably karl has a few snaps on his hard drive

thanks for pointing out the obvious!

I meant the front bumper grill gaurd... for enhancing appearance only! The front bumper looks kinda bland (not saying its a bad job.. it is an awesome job)... here is what i mean

those raised bumpers were available from 55 to 67 only (the beetle in question is definitely after that)...the extra overriding bar was added to meet american regulations for bumper heights! at the rear there was a gap to allow the engine lid to open...

Hey Manson replying to an old post of yours, but did you mean the one like the Herbie Love bug with the stripes and {53}?Thats owned by Keith Masceranhas from Almeida Park. He has quite a few Bugs and also a couple of Vans I think. Are you in Bandra

I remember seeing those almost abandoned Herbie/a Baywindow and a 16 window Split outside his house in Bandra area last month.

Thats not the way to keep such cars.

And about the thread, the owner must be nuts to spoil such a car with those kill wheels.
That Beetle must be a 1973 1300 if i've identified right.

Some pics of that striped Bug and others left out on the Road.
