Thanks powertwin for uploading the scanned copy of your RC Book.The Fantabulus its confirmed came along in 1963. It was perhaps first launched in the Madras State and maybe in other parts of South India.
However, in many other parts of the country the scooter was launched later on after 2/3 years.

Yes, you may right regarding launch of this Scooter @ southern states in 1962.
For which, we ( me & Scootering guys) tried our best to get the production records from our present Royal Enfield........though the ownership has changed since around '87....a limited company with such a heritage to their belt...never considered our plea...NOT EVEN to reply a word of consolation
Any way here we Tbhpians are there to dig out the history from our dears & nears

at last my Fantabulus was taken to this year's Auto Expo 2011 /Coimbatore
along with some of her gleaming cousins like Honda,Motobecane,lamb 48,Norton,RE700,Honda Cub,Mofa, AJS,Atlasolex etc......on as is were is condition after a coat of 3M's Cut & Finish rubbing and thin polishing..
I never expected...but she was crowd puller at the Expo!!

Hi can someone point me in the direction of a fabricator who can make the rear luggage rack and tire holder for my fanatabulus just like the one on powertwins. Thanks

Well "owners Manual" wont be of much help to you in restoration, just it can be an additional document to your Fanta.think you need a workshop manual or a Parts catalog!!

There is a guy down south at foot hills of Ooty, who has a sample and will start fabricating, once he is bit relieved from his hospital duty.
On return he might be expecting a " short test drive in your FIAT 500" ( which he missed other day)
