Could anyone post a pic or post for how to fit the brake switch specially the spring (which fits to the brake rod or something is quiet confusing

The Bobby is a beautiful bike.

I remember it as the first bike I saw as a baby. My Mom's brother had one and I enjoyed riding on the tank as a kid.

Unfortunately it was scrapped away around 15 years back.

Recently, I heard from a friend that a Bobby in pristine condition was for sale. I was eager to buy it if offered for a reasonable price and cherish my childhood memories again.

Was taken aback when he said that the guy was quoting INR 85,000!

Did not even bother to check out the vehicle.

Guys, is the bike worth that much?
What is the best price that can be offered for a Bobby in good condition?

A year ago decent condition (not gleaming) all original except the petrol tank cap, was offered to me at 20 k and in the same month a fellow bhpian was selling restored one for 25K.

Are there any Bobbys available for sale in Bangalore (or anywhere in Karnataka) that you know of, at a good price?

The guy is quoting 45K for the bike. Is it worth the price?

Hmmmm....too difficult question.

To be honest its not that worth, in other hand its becoming very hard to find one easily.

I do not think it is worth paying anything more than 25K for this. If it is in pristine condition, then maybe going up to 30K is an option.

Good Buy,

But you will have a tough time finding the missing spares. Might have bought dirt cheap.

Picked up one Bobby and eagerly waiting for her to land in bangalore, its still in original red color but quite fadded so need to do paint and chrome job done apart from my favourite engine blue printing, need inputs about availability of new crank, bore kit, complete clutch kit, gears and gear shifters, tail light,meter, silencers bent pipe as it's got some dents and sure its can block the performance. PM me i am ok to pick parts from bhpians.
Thinking of installing 12v electricals and CDi along with Uni foam filter and bigger jets, small amount of port cleaning and head shaving to boost the performance.

Do you want the bike to be stock. I think you keep as original as possible. If there is no rusting, then please keep the paint as it is, it will add to the value. While restoring my car I was unable to cause of rusting. There is a workshop in Bangalore, the owner himself is a bobby buff. the datails are on this thread only. He has fabricated a lot of parts.

P.S.: Can you find one decent example for me too.

Thanks Manish for the inputs and direction towards workshop, bike sure needs paint as its fadded and worst part is pilled out from atleast 30% surface area so just to avoid rusting i need to paint her, i'll try my best to keep stock looks but internals should be performace till certain level.
Tough to find but was lucky enough to get this, found one more in Korba but the owner is not willing to sell, i'll be trying once again after couple of months as i am sure he will give up after some time.
