Giri - can you guide to me to those circular add-ons?? Where did you get those and how much did you pay for them.

I am looking out for tires for my lambretta, so I am kind of inquisitive .

Re: Rajdoot GTS "Bobby"

The guy who restored the vehicle gave this to me. I was told that this was available in Thailand.

Re: Rajdoot GTS "Bobby"

My Bobby restoration is in full swing. Today, i went to buy new tyres. The options i found where..

3.50-10 TVS - 1000rs [with tube]. This one looked too narrow.

3.50-10 Dunlop- 1000rs again. This one looked OK. Looks wider than TVS.

100-90-10 TVS - 1200rs .

This one is a new generation tyre. Honda Activa type. Looks wider and has got better thread pattern than the age old Nylo-grips.

Can this be used on Bobby without any hiccups? Will these scratch the swing-arm/ fenders? The tyre shop people wont take back the tyre once its put on a rim [even if for trial]. So, im in a dilemma. Inputs please..

@Giri ,

Now that is one good restoration job.

Can you pls advice if I can get the below parts -
1)Rubber pads on the Fuel tank.
2)Ignition Key and related mechanism
3)Front and rear mud guards.

I am trying to source them in Pune without luck.

Cheers!

Re: Rajdoot GTS "Bobby"

While I was thinking only a French company, Honda and Rajdoot were making this funny looking small boy type motor cycle. Here you go American's were also fond of small boy type motor cycle, that too a model from the big boy company

Re: Rajdoot GTS "Bobby"

Last week, i changed the age-old magneto Assy of my Bobby with a 12v Rajdoot new model one. Its a direct fit on the bobby crank end with little play.

The results are super bright lights & a loud horn. Spark strength is better too resulting in better pick-up. Its pure bliss
