Re: Mama *Mia.. Mustang!!!

In 1967 , a 2.8 Liter L6 was the low end engine . It cannot be called a muscle car. This was the base engine . A larger L6 of 3.1 was optional as were the bigger V8 engines. To call 2.8 motor mind blowing is an insult to the real power plants of that time. One has to experience the 351 cid Cleveland V8 to really appreciate the power to burn rubber. V 6 were unheard of in a Mustang at that time , for that matter in any Ford. What has been done to the fast back roof line is a vinyl hatchet job, in my view. The car should have been left alone to shine in its original beauty. And how about the interior ? Has it also been customized ?

Re: Mama *Mia.. Mustang!!!

Neat article on 'Mustangs in India' by Bob Rupani.

Yes, few know that the Ford Mustang has a great fan following in India and after the launch of the first generation in 1964, many made their way to India. Amongst the early owners of the Ford Mustang was the Hindi film industry’s first superstar, Rajesh Khanna. Famed film actor, director and producer Sunil Dutt also had a Mustang and he was often seen driving it down Marine Drive in Mumbai. Renowned film actress Nutan too had a Mustang and it’s still with her son Mohnish Behl. Saif Ali Khan also owns a red 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500.

Re: Mama *Mia.. Mustang!!!

This Mustang should officially be called the Transformer. The number of modifications that this iconic car has gone through - even the car may not remember - and it's gone from good to bad to worse and very soon probably whacky as well.

The original car (when restored) in blue and yellow alloys looked amazing. In its current state it looks more like a modified Contessa than a real Mustang.

My blood boils when I see this car. I don't want to even call it a Mustang anymore!

This is how it looked in 1990. It featured in the movie Aashiqui (1990):

Re: Mama *Mia.. Mustang!!!

Must say this is the most experimented Ford Mustang in the country. This is its current avatar with a half windshield :

Recently I found a ‘65 mustang in delhi. The conditions looks okayish. But it definitely needs more love! Mama  Mia.. Mustang!!!-8123d4b4174a4534998ebfca226bf099.jpeg

This looks like a '67 or a '68 (mostly a '67 since it has the FORD lettering on the hood, assuming it is the original one) It is apparently a V8 which was previously spotted in Punjab according to an old T-BHP post on another thread. Posting the picture below:
