| ![]() V16, I just chanced across this post, lovely labour of love. Now that the car is soon going to be ready, would you want to take it and show it to the person you bought it from? I'm sure he'd be a happy man... |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Thanks Airfoil. Actually the guy whom the Fiat belonged to was too sick to do anything with the car and refused to scrap it. He is going to be ecstatic when he sees what the final product will be (well i sincerely hope so). I had to literally give an interview when I approached him for the car and only when he was sure I would not scrap it he sold it to me. He was and still is a total Fiat buff. Lets just say I can see where Karl is going to be 40 years from now ![]() I post some recent pics of whats happening to the car as its a long time i've updated the thread for which I apologize. This product was used on the car, underbody and flooring upon which the black anti-rust coat was applied, which you can see in the flooring pics. As of today the wurth is also sprayed on the inner dashboard. Thanks to the ever helpful Viper for helping me source the Wurth. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The car is in its final stages, ready for a paint coat and then Engine & gearbox fitting, and electricals. ![]() Popping open the hood, one can see the painted chassis and the overhauled steering box fitted. ![]() ![]() The Overhauled Gear Box. Ready for installation. ![]() One more step closer to the final product. Soon it should look like this!! ![]() Next Ill bring to you the seats and the Re-done Engine. Till then keep watching this thread. |

| ![]() Gogi Bhai - long wait. Let it end soon. Please be careful with the propeller shaft front end which I see is on the transmission (in the photograph). Please assemble it on the propeller shaft with correct orientation (there are arrows to guide but many people don't know), otherwise propeller shaft vibration will be there. Best regards, Behram Dhabhar |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() [quote=karlosdeville;564346]Cant wait Gogi. Shes looking great. Now when did you get yourself a dukkar? ![]() Rubbing salt over wounds wont get you anywhere by much Fiat'ed friend ![]() The dukkar you see is a 55, sadly not mine but it could have been. He had bought it to sell it to me but i was in the USA at that time and he couldn't get in touch with me so he sold it to someone else. This gentleman was so inspired by the work my guy was doing on the 1100 special (notice how i've refrained from using "D") that he wanted it restored at the same place. I met the owner who was inquisitive as to what the material was which was being sprayed on the underbody (Wurth). After my two minute talk on the stuff, he requested me to get him a couple of cans for his car too. I should start charging royalty to the Wurth guys methinks. Back to the topic Bawa, where is my Dukkar??...and my Jeep??/ and...... Last edited by V-16 : 14th September 2007 at 19:29. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Wonderful stuf V16, i am waiting for the final pics since a long time. Whats the cost of the wurth? and was it worth it? |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Wurth has a printed price (stuck label on the can by importer) of 954 per litre/can for the non aerosol one. The sprayable aerosol can will be a bit more i presume. Then you can see how much the dealer lets off. Depends upon shop to shop and let me tell you it is not easily available, but thanks to Viper, i go this sourced out. Well ill find out if its Wurth it if there are no leaks and no signs of accumulating rust after a few months. Im told its the best stuff there is. |
