Re: How I met my President! | 1974 Premier President

Hi Souryadeep, congratulations on the lovely acquisition! President is a rare to find car and finding such original ones is something we do not see often!

Our member Bhpian President - Rony Vesuna has one of the best Premier President cars in the country and his personal favorite!

Here's a thread I had documented a decade ago of a original President.

Hearty Congratulations on getting such a nice and very original example. This car is lucky to end up in your promising hands and I strongly believe this car coming to you is in return for the help you have done for enthusiasts like me to get our cars to pristine condition. My car is what it's now only because of kind hearts like you cheers.

Congratulations. I love the turquoise green-blue colour. Oh the timeless looks of the Fiat. Just see how uncluttered the dashboard and controls are. That's all one needs to drive a car. Its a car not an aircraft. But look at today's cars with their cluttered dashboards and screens. The screens IMHO are a distraction as one has to take the eyes off the road for a second to use the screen. We should be able to drive our cars in the dark with all controls tactile and without needing to take our eyes off the road. Touch control screens make that impossible.

That steering column mounted gear lever with its slim end was actually an ergonomically poor design. But one got used to it. That was one reason I bought the floor shift instead when my time came.

Thank You. The color shade is Atlantica Verde ( Bluish Green). These classics are truly timeless in looks and appeal, very humble yet soul-stirring cars. Column-mounted gear needs to get used to it once we are familiar with it, it's bliss to drive.

Re: How I met my President! | 1974 Premier President

So recently the car got a makeover, just in time for it to make it to the Tata Steel Vintage and Classic car rally in Jamshedpur, where it was driven down along with six other classics in a convoy. Attaching pictures of it's trip to Jamshedpur and back, the car performed flawlessly with just a loose fan belt and a loose vaccum pipe on its entire journey.

Re: How I met my President! | 1974 Premier President

We had a trip to the Dimna Lake on Sunday evening, where we managed to get some lovely photos of the car with the lake as a backdrop.
