MR. SPEEEEDY ^^^
ur "im sorry" makes me wonder why the hell did i have to point towards the differences re. the wheels jees!!
gyan time - the super beetle where the only model to go with struts and came with 1600 engines. So i guess urs (1100 or 1300) will not have a strut situation for wheels to be fitted on, in that case u can take the rim diameter upto 17" and run lower profile tires...but then its only for the kink value....the offsets can be altered by using a 3/4" spacer on the hub, preferred working on the cmc & milling machines instead of lathe work on the hubs. oh yes and if you can install studs to make removing/fitting easier.
colors on beetle???? ive always drooled on the thought of one in deep purple, non-metallic, but with tons of depth and gloss...phew was almost breathing hard
go for it speedy, get the beetle on soon.

thanks for the gyan IVI . i wont be going in for 17 inch wheels and the jazz. just normal wheels like your car or the other red that i posted. my current beetle is in keeping with the wishes of my neice who is 6years old and the other beetle is also being bought for her. the current ragtop is her sky car and hence in the colours. the other one she wants with flowers (garden car). so it is going to be black with flowers painted all over the car in lavender, baby pink, light green, lemon yellow. basically women colours. this is her choice so i really cant do much but comply with her wishes. so the wheels would look nice with it. i have the car design in mind but cant seem to get it done on photoshop.
PS i missed out on a convertible beetle that was lieing next to my house. the guy sold it for 70 thousand.

Hi...

I'm quite keen to see the Beetles over the weekend! Missed seeing them a couple of weeks ago, so I want to make sure I'm there this time. Will the Beetles be displayed on Saturday and Sunday as well at Palace Grounds and if so what time?

thanks!

Hi,
I have a 71 1302LS super beetle convertible that I'm is restoration WIP. This car has been in our family since 75 and we are the second owner. I'd be interested to meet up with other Beetle owners in Bangalore.

I've chatted with Aditya of the Bombaybeetles and he was very helpful. I've exchanged emails once or twice with Naren, but we've not met up.

I am a bit disappointed that there aren't that many local beetle enthusiasts active on forums -- specially in the arena of restoration/tech discussions versus "I saw a..." discussion. I do most of the restoration myself and even plan to redo the top myself so am looking to learn from other's experiences.

Regards,
Byas
