In which part of Goa does one find such beauties? I am looking for a beetle or a microbus of VW.

I believe you will mostly find beauties on the beaches in Goa. As for the beetle and microbus they are very rare now. However I once saw a bus literally lying in a field, in front of a very large house in North Goa. And I also saw some beetles being repaired in a Garage on the Nerul-Verem road between Candolim and Betim on the way to panjim.
Hope this helps

The garage owners name is Verenkar (sp?), apparently he must be from Verem. Ihad his visiting card someplace. If I can't find it I will get you his details next time I visit. If you check out the thread rust in pieces arround may 2008 onwards you may find the photos I've posted of the outside of this place.

Talking of Microbuses, recently in a local channel programme saw a blue microbus being featured .The so called owner was a young chap from Thiruvananthapuram.
although I know very little about VW's,it looked like a genuine example.

Saw this one last week in a quiet residential complex at Porvorim, Goa. Looked to be in topnotch condition..
Sorry for the bad pic, was in a mad rush with a client, this is all I could manage.
Maybe better pics next time.

In actual fact Pavan, although Nitin was the main driver of this Bay window, it never belonged to him, but lent to him when ever he wished.
I never did get the chance to meet the owner but had many trips in this bus and drives superb.

Ahaa VW splitscreen, I forgot all about my promise to locate the details. I wonder if wartikars has seen this post. I went to down to Goa a couple of times recently found a landrover and some beetles in a garage in calangute, I also came across a pretty rare european motor bike. But the owner isn't sure if he's selling. And the Van that used to be parked in the fields is still missing
