The Red Cooper has Red Body, Red roof and Red rims. Its very popularly known as REDdy Mini in Bangalore.

I am referring to the Mini that came from Bandipur. Not sure of Jaipur Car.

Hi Indro,

The first mini form Jaipur, belongs to guys with Royal connection, not sure who as it was a reference from T-BHP.

That car had alloys and body skirts, and had a long pending mechanical ailments which was plauging it since few years. It come in only for Mechanical Restoration, which got completed and the car was sent back a month ago.

The car is running fine like a daily drive right now

Since i did not have permission to put it here on the forum, i could not do it so, will share the pics to your mail later...

The Mini presently there in the workshop belongs to my Friend and that too is Red in color and is a KARNATAKA car - Mini Mayfair -1968. Its fully stock right now, needs cosmetical and mechanical restoration, whcih i will be attending to after a couple of months.

Need to take out my Bug today and click some nice snaps and searching around to get German Type Number plates....

German type number plates- do you mean the D plate that mounts on the bumper bracket-like my 71 has?or the regn plate with car regn on it?

gill saheb,The one you are referring to is Known as ""D"" badge (D for Deutschland) It has nothing to do with number plates.The original supplier for german cars were SWF and WEGU.Even Lighted D badges were used

I got the badges one GB and one D badge during the volksworld show this march here is a pic, although they are not SWF or wegu,but is a nice reproduction matching the original specs,gives the car a bit of period look,need to mention and a bit contradictory,the regn plate here is from Canada,just for fun

so are you planning to put the indian regn number on the so looking D plate or need an all together German plate,i have that ones too, as they came with the 88 bus i recently purchased

The genuine ones have a different specs as you can notice from these photos.

Seems like what Mr. EARTHed has said does not correspond to what the pictures say regarding the RED ROOF and RED wheels of the REDDY MINI. The car indeed has a White roof and had white rims. Pictures for your reference.
