A windfall... You would fall down your chair, if i reveal something extremely funny incident that happened to me today.

Just look at the below details for time being,

Will reveal the details of my new part received today evening.

I had ordered for a pair of VW Beetle tail light for my friends car.

Order priced at 19.96$ and shipping 60$.. Everything is fine, as these are the lowest rate for shipping. I received everything in order.

The 2 pairs of tail lenses ordered from Mid-america Motorworks, travelled all the way across the globe.

And at what price? 40$ for 2 pairs of lenses and 60$ shipping and Rs 645/- (14.3$)duty. == Rs 5400/-.

Look at the stickers on the box sent

Not at all surprising, because it is a known fact that american VW parts websites like CIP,Jbugs, mamotors, etc source many trim items from INDIA, Taiwan etc,
the lens shown in the first photo is available in Bangalore itself for Rs.750 a pair.one of my friends(Tbhpian who owns a yellow bug) bought a pair for that price an year ago.

It is the same situation with the chromed wire wheels which are made in south india and then are exported to England. You can't buy them here so you have to buy it from England and at a much higher price.

That must be Devaiah. Thats the only other Yellow Bug in Namma Bengaluru. Very frustrating to know something like this can happen.

I have searched for this part since 4 months all across India. Many places the results were negative.

I Wonder how we loose out on such things.

Somehow, we guys must collectively unearth the real truth for the actual origin.

Yes true. Neo lite in collaboration with a Singapore based company manufactures few VW lights.

Automotive Headlamps Manufacturer,Auto Head Lamps,Automotive Head Lamps,Auto Headlamps Manufacturer,Car Head Lamps,Automotive Headlamp Exporters

There are few stockists in Ludhiana and Gurgaon, who sell quality VW products. I had been fortunate to get a few fittings from them.

I called a few guys there sometime ago, and they require order in large numbers.

But...........? Unfortunately we cant control these

Some pics by experts.

1) Lukeskywalker
2) Rjstyles

These guys wake me up early morning so that they can get me the best pics for my car.

What a wonderful gesture.

We drive some 30 kms on the Bengaluru outskirts and these guys patiently takes time to select the locations and light settings.

Ha ha ha.. Correct magaa.

As they say, "Konkona Suttu Mylara" Anyways, happy to have found the part.

That location is 30 kms away from my house, Bangalore outskirts, Been strictly adviced by Riju and Hari to keep it confidential.

Pics only for T-BHP to enjoy, Wait till Riju's pics come.
