Ok I must admit that this is the 1st time ever in my life that I have been driven around in a vintage. I know no jack of the buggy , but was a hoot to be driven around for close to 50+kms on a sunday morning.

Drove thru many villages en-route and at every place it was either a eyes wide open look or a smile on the kids faces. I definitely enjoyed the drive and pavan thanks a ton man.

A few word about Neolite . Neolite PPI is now Neolite ZKW , they have tied up ZKW of Austria . Neolite is has been in this line since 1952.They are one of the major exporters to EU. They manufacture replacement light units for Citroen, Fiat, Opel , Peugeot, Volkswagen, Renault, Mercedes and Fiat .I had bought some of these lights from a stockist in Chennai . They have very limited sales in India(aftermarket sales) .Some their products have recieved EU homologation, quality is really good. When you bring them in from US or Europe it turns out expensive
Cheers !!

Great effort going on your car. PK, your car already rocks, once you finish the rest of the additions to your car, there would be no words left to describe.

Some pics of my working BECKER-Roadster audio.

Though this might not be the original unit, but all Bugs had BECKER radios as aftermarket fitments. So no worries, Plays tape and FM, and is made in 1966. so no worries.

as far as my info goes, Becker radios were not endorsed by VW as fitments on VWs in the 60's.The OE units were BLAUPUNKT and GRUNDIG.
they even had part number and VW logos on them
The dealer option was also the same brands, but they didnot have the part number like the factory fitted ones.
Becker was OE on the other great GERMAN marque MERCEDES.

Yes. Thank you Karl for reminding me, those also might come in couple of days time.

Second round of restoration is costing more than the First
