A big thanks to T-BHP members SV_Santhosh and Trammaway (Shiva).

Santhosh visited my house few weeks ago in his ever famous Nano ( I just loved his car) and while discussing i mentioned to him about the backup lights, he was travelling to Chennai the coming week and promised he'll get me this part. Shiva helped in sourcing the part in Chennai and Santhosh was generous to get it to me.

Thank you once again guys, you've made my job so easier.

I am putting up these pics only for you guys.
WoW the light looks awesome, I didn't do much just bought it for the price you have paid.

I'm glad it reached the right person and right car. Congratulations.

Next set of work to be done this week

1) Install original headlights
2) Install the chrome trims on the window frame
3) Get the original pear shaped mirrors fitted.

My VW Carb is again giving trouble:(, leaking fuel from the Venturi shaft.

Will replace it temporarily with the Fiat S1 carb, only to avoid further catastrophe.

Got rid of the stock VW carb, and got back to the Fiat S1 carb.

Too much of trouble tuning it and now dreadful about the leakage.

The headlight lenses came in today Will go on to the car latest my Tuesday.

Also a pair of VW Mudflaps, just for some changes

Nice to see your bug getting back more n more to originality, pavan!

I know the feeling when you get an OHH REE GEE NAL part that you've badly been wanting since ages and were forced to compromise until THE day finally comes.......!!

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but looking at the pattern of the lens, it seems to have been fixed sideways? The lenses when fitted, would have the "grooves" inside come vertically, like this:

Or is this lens supposed to be fitted this way?

Anyways, good going!
