re: Restored Fiats (Super Select & Others)

Need to restore a '94 Fiat Padmini to its glory. Guess Kurla will be the place to look for the spares etc. Does anybody have idea on good workshops and workmen in and around Powai who can really do justice?

Spotted this Millecento recently. Looks very original. The front too was complete.

@ Parsh,
Regarding the availability of spares to restore your 1994 Premier Padmini, you may try at Shetty Motors, Opera House & Sundar Automobiles, Worli.
Regarding the availability of good workshop & good workmen for working on your Padmini, you can get details by sending PM to TBHPians President, Cyrus43, dhabhar.behram, Rutwij, SuperSelect.

re: Restored Fiats (Super Select & Others)

Had spotted this quite original Elegant in 2007 in a workshop.Have not seen the car ever since. The matching green sunshade fitted on it is not a period one but came along sometime in the late 1960's continuing till the early 1970's.Hence the car must have been in this colour since the time this sunshade was fitted- only a wild guess. But I feel this is not an original colour for the Dukkars.

Thanks dhrishikesh. I am going to take stock of the car and start calling up. Sheety Motors is definitely on the top for spares. But even in the past as I have talked to them, they need the part to be shown to them that is required. Let us see. I will ping TBHPians, especially SuperSelect having seen his fab restoration.

Hey, for any Fiat related advice, my top guru would be Adheesh - there's nothing in the Fiatful world that he can't solve !!
Btw, can we see some pics of your car ?

Cool. I will definitely trouble Adheesh and all you guys once I start the process. I going to start from taking the stock of complete situation of the car. Its been lying idle since quite a few yrs now and going to start a discussion on it after taking good lot of pictures for our discussions. You guys' knowledge and guidance will be immensely helpful.

re: Restored Fiats (Super Select & Others)

WBF-1 has been my daily driver and have put over 1000km on it since I returned in November and having had a few minor mishaps, and Got forbid, something more serious that might damage this emblem, I thought it would be
prudent to make a couple of sets, JUST IN CASE.

I haven't got a sense of the cost yett, but if anyone would be interested in a set, let me know.

The car in the pics. is a MILLECENTO.

I'm not sure about the sunshade but I've seen them fitted even in the 80s, but usually on ambys/fiats.

Tail-lights appear original, only the lens isnt...maybe a moulded repro.

Correction, you can see this car repainted in purple at this year's Nagpur rally. Unfortunately the original headlights were enlarged to fit bigger units.

re: Restored Fiats (Super Select & Others)

A strange looking Fiat wagon is seen here

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/collec...ml#post2241323

Possibly a local job, it could even be a heavily altered original.
