Hi every one,
Do some of you have news from carbug's VW restoration?

I really would love to see this bus restored, as i stupidly missed the opportunity of owning one last year .......

carbug's Bus is almost done

While it would not be apt for me to upload the pics. Lets wait for him to come back into the country first.

He needs few spares,which i am trying to help him out with, All in all, its just left to the cosmetics before it starts running on the road.

Nice to see this bus again! I incidentally remember seeing it at a local garage (the same one here I guess) a few months ago...it was just in the process of getting the paintjob done then.





BTW, maybe its the pic. but it looks like he's converted the ol' Ambulance into a baywindow?

Looks awsome, Now you are making me jelous. First a Beetle now a Microbus and that too Split screen. Yes as Stanher says some people have all the luck.

Yes, this appears to be the plumbing and controls for an Eberspacher or a combustion heater. Quite a rare accessory.

On the Type 2, the heater would be installed in the engine compartment.



If you still have the heater, let me know and I can email a manual that will help you to get it in working order.
Though you probably wouldn't ever need to use it in our weather
