Might be a little OT, but could not find a better thread than this... I was doing a little research on a moped and this seems to be an (incomplete) list of mopeds that were manufactured / sold in India at some point of time.

"1967 : The first product of the company*, the Venky Moped is produced. The engine, transmission and electronic ignition was indigenously developed. The moped was powered by a 44cc 2 stroke engine developing around 3.5HP. The moped had a maximum speed of 60 Kmph. The fuel efficiency of 56 Km/l. The company owes it's automotive knowledgebase to this project."

Does anybody have a picture of an old model hero majestic? We had a sky blue model from 1980-199+ somewhere and then it was sold.

thge model I am looking for had split seats and the fuel tank was between the rider and pillion seats.

Nopes !! none of the Jawa mopeds had twin exhausts
* Jawa piony'r..................is a 50cc beauty
** Yezdi Jet .....................is a 60cc one &
*** Yezdi Colt....................is a 60cc
all of them are 3 speed machines ,with different characteristics, just find them in appropriate threads even in this Forum

Sir you forgot about another Jawa moped, the Jawetta. Looks just like the Yezdi Jet. I have seen more of these than the Piony'r.

Sir: I dont own any of these mopeds as of yet. Im still concentrating on my other collection. I would love to add these to my collection some day. Hence I have no pictures to post of them.

A correction to my previous reply, it was not the Jawetta but just the Jawa Jet that is common in India. Here is one that was posted in another section on this website. It is a junked one but then it gives a picture of what it looked like. (second picture from the last)

Wonerful to see the Mopeds thread has many enthusiasts.
I have a Toro Jazz which is collaboration with Motori Mineralli from Italy.Its a 50cc 2-Stroke automatic gear operated moped and gives a good ride.
