Can anybody help me regarding which brand air filter to use in my S1. The present one is a locally made piece and car heats up frequently. Apart from K & N is there any good company which makes air filter for PP which is reasonable also.
Hey Samsag,
Can you get me a round one for me? I would stock it for my friend's PP. Always go for filters from Purolator. Car heats up? Can attribute a lot of reasons. Is the cooling circuitry ok? No clogged radiator? The fan and pump work fine? Was the carburettor ever underjetted for want of mileage? Check the jet size and cross check with the standard sizes mentioned in an earlier post in this thread.

One Mumbai Fiatian said that they are pretty good and we better stock up some of those as it might also get scarce soon.

Well, I was told of Kirloskar being OEM and vere very good on performance in discussions about air filters, but that may be case for select's and delight's. Eventually every damn part for the fiat will dry up, we need to have a list made of spares to have in our stock.

The side indicators you posted are for deluxe models prior to the S1. Original S1 side indicators were like the ones on Karthik Makam's car.

Yes sir , they are of plastic but sturdy ones as screws are mounted in it firmly. It is of thick plastic and the brand is BRYTAX. The sticker says marketed by Lumax Filters (P) Ltd. Are they good ones. Do they justify as NOS (new old stock) as the shop owner said he has to search for it in the NOS parts bin( dhoondhana padaga bhaijaan kyunki iski sale nahi hai) The packing also seems very old.

Sir,if those are the original ones then i didn't like the new S1 units. They are covered fully with lens cover and don't gel with the other light fittings which are surrounded by chrome someway or the other. In PP every light fitting is complemented by chrome ring whether it is tail light, reverse light, front parking light, headlight or even the interior cabin light. Of course the number plate light which is blessed with chrome only.
