You must be referring to the thin foam tape which has glue on both the sides. Will it be good enough to hold the aluminum badge in place even on bumpy roads. I suspect if it doesn't then i will loose a precious gem of my car as these badges are nowhere to be found nowadays even in scrapyard.
Regarding the type of badge the new gen PPs got this stick on type badges on boot. Have a look at it yourself.

Ilango is referring to the tape from 3M. Its very expensive. That will surely solve the purpose. But there might be a gap o 1mm between the badge and body when fixed with such tape.

If that will be so then what are the other options. How much will the 3M tape cost me??

No manish, not from 3M. I myself got a 5 metre roll for about Rs 50. That was not from 3M. I am sure if Samsag goes with the badge to a numberplatewala, he would glue the sticker on 1 side, and later on he can peel off and put up the badge the way he likes.

The ordinary double sided stickers dont really last very long. My experience with my NE:
1) The Premier and 118 NE badges with this type sticker keep falling off. I replace every 6 months
2) Rear number plate is plastic and stuck using this tape, keeps falling off once a year or during water service.

What I have done to overcome this is (atleast so far its been fine)
For 1 - I have put feviquik and put the badges. Have lasted for 9 months and still strong. Even though the Premier badge was broken when at garage. Glue wasnt the issue. Dont know if it glue will screw up this part of the paint.

For 2 - The sticker fellow said he has put some imported double sided sticker (dont know what brand) and assured it will not fall off for a very long time.

The Premier and Padmini S1 badges are rare and we shouldnt take any chances by using these double sided stickers.

A)May be the 3M glue if it is really a good adhesive, we should go for it.
B) Is it possible to make small holes and make it screw type?
C) Is it possible to attach a metal plate to the rear of these badges and have nut and bold arrange ment to fix it to the dickey.

I am in the process of procuring the wire sockets and relays for my S1 which is a part of the process to make a new full wiring harness. As insulation on many wires are cracking and wires shorting now and then and some other reasons, i thought of replacing the whole wiring network. SO I NEED HELP REGARDING THE WIRING HARNESS DIAGRAM of PP S1. An experienced electrician has agreed to do the job and to get things done in the correct order, i need the diagram which can be used as a solid base for the project. If anyone has the diagram please do help me.

Also please do suggest any good brand of wires and sockets to be used for making the harness.

Isn't the wiring diagram in the manual enough for making the harness?

Finolex is the wire you must use.

I came across a set of standard sized pistons today - these had grooves for 4 piston rings as opposed to the usual three. (two compression rings and two oil rings). Can someone tell me if these are any better/worse than the usual design that has three rings?

I need parts for a re-bore job.

Can anybody shed some light on the exact dimensions of the PP S1 front windshield. If not the dimensions then is the padmini windshield a direct fit on S1 . I am getting a used one as a replacement as the present one has scratches gifted by the wiper arm, for Rs. 200. Should i go ahead and buy it.

Dear Samsag12 - Fiat 1100D, Premier President, Premier Padmini and Premier Padmini S1 windshield glass dimension is exactly same. The dies in this area were never changed.

Best regards,
