Padmini Seatbelt Installation

All these days I was driving around my PP without a seat belt, until the cops in our locality started hunting for driving without seat belts seriously. Though this being a 1990 model year car that doesn't require a seat belt, had to install one just to evade the cops.
So, here is the installation information.
Items required.
1. A pair of universal seat belt and latch assembly. Costed Rs800/- for both sides.
2. 10mm bolts and rivet nuts - 8 nos
3. Spanner set, drill gun and 12.5mm bit

Marked the drill location on the B-pillar and drilled 3 holes at the desired heights. Installed the rivet nuts. There are ample videos in YouTube to teach us how to install the rivet nut without the special tool. Sometimes this trick didn't work, so 2 of the rivet nuts needed a tack at a gas welding shop. For the latch, holes were drilled on the seat recliner plate under the cushion and mounted the latch. The installation came out as expected and attached photos for reference.

I feel what you have done is against MV act and also not correct from the safety angle. One is not supposed to fit seatbelts on cars which are not originally intended to from the factory and also the rules allow cars prior to 1994 to ply without front seat belts. For maruti 800 although standard models came without seat belts from 1983-1994 there was a provision for retrofitting it.

I kindof have started collecting Die Cast models. Hence my question. I think I'll pass on plastic.

Folks, are MRF 5.20x14 tyres still available for the PP/Fiat1100D? Someone seems to be offering them claiming they are manufactured recently.

Would appreciate any inputs on where to get the tyres+tubes in Bangalore

Try Madhus or a MRF tyre dealer.
